Ding, ding, ding. This is the correct answer. The Big12 hurt others have mentioned doesn't even make sense, as they weren't members at the time.
I've nothing against them and wish them well... against Baylor and Texas. Arkansas, not so much! Well done, Hogs!

Vocal Aggie hatred is the way of most B12ers to suck up to UTex, in an attempt to remain as the life support system for the whole conference.

First off, they haven't beaten us since Nixon's FIRST term. After the 2010 season, when they reached the pinnacle of their post-SWC history (#2 final ranking, beating Bert in the Rose Bowl), we took all of the momentum and attention away from them by joining the SEC, then their conference folded so they had to jump to the Big 12 with the expectation that they were to be an adequate replacement for us to then fail in their first two years. To some of them, we stole and ruined any momentum they had or would ever have.
Eh, have you ever lurked the TCU forum? They are easily the least sophisticated fanbase when it comes to the whole Game of Thrones part of college football out there. Their naivety can be downright shocking sometimes.

Yeah I think this is a bigger part of it. Well this and the fact that TCU hasn't been able to "break through" in recruiting despite success and signs worse classes than we do the years we get pissed about our recruiting class.

Back when I was on Facebook (back when it was about scoping out hotties, in the era before they opened it up to everyone and it became a playground for grandmas) I was always astonished by the posting of the TCU people I knew. This is back WAY before their Big 12 era. They genuinely thought TCU was some kind of all-time badass program and were continually posting their shock that the media and Americans in general weren't fawning over their greatness. The funny thing was they also always somehow related it back to A&M too. No matter what the subject was, it would begin with a TCU brag, transform into a compliant about not being lauded enough, and then either slide into a put-down of A&M, or blame A&M in some complex way for TCU not getting their due. This is symptomatic of ALL Texas college programs though. Texas Tech during their Leach Golden Years did the same thing and Baylor does too, although their recent tactic has switched somewhat to blaming the Burnt Orange Media Conspiracy for their players' propensity toward rape and Briles' decisions to cover everything up/intimidate victims.

Facebook was badass back then. No privacy settings lol.
You could friend one hottie and then get lost in a sea of hotties through her friends page.
I also enjoyed the "network" sidebar where it showed how many friends you had at each different university.

Those were the days. Someone should create a social network like that again for college peeps.

If my college-aged sister is any indication they did, and it's called Snapchat.

Hah that is all well and good, but I was thinking more like the FB of old. Also every age uses snapchat.

In the thefacebook.com days when it was all college students, and then only students at GOOD colleges, it also had a feature where you could view your connections in the form of a web with lines that linked everyone you were friends with to each other with you in the middle as the central connection in the web. No privacy settings, and everyone registered the classes they were in, so you could click on your classes one by one and see who that hottie in the third row is, check out all her pictures, and stalk through all her hot friends. E-stalking will never be the same. I haven't had an account in 5 years. I can't even explain how much better it was before it was taken over by grandmas posting baby pictures. Facebook used to be raw, young, and awesome.
Edit: and full of TCU people butthurt about A&M

I never got the hate from Texas Tech either. Their campus is so far away that there really isn't any geographical connection to us. College Station is closer to Jackson MS, Oklahoma City OK, and New Orleans LA than it is to Lubbock TX. How do you hate something so passionately that is so far away? I doubt they all hold a grudge that they were denied admission to Texas A&M and Texas....or do they?

All of the smaller schools from the SWC days hate everyone. I know University of Houston fans who hate A&M like we're the white devil keeping 'em down. When they don't have natural rivals, they just treat everyone that way. Texas Tech fans are the same way, but taken to a greater extreme.

It's a new way to drive traffic to your geocities site. My traffic counter shows like 10 new pageviews since I linked to it from My spaces and google places.

I used to surf Geocities sites all day via AltaVista. Those were the days man!

Same.
I got it when it first came out and there was all this hubub about how that's how you get nudes, but no women ever randomly sent me pics of their taters like I was expecting, so I just deleted it.

A few of my thoughts on the hate from TCU and the other little sisters of tu/OU:
1. About half the TCU/Baylor fans I know owned at least one tu jersey back in the 1990's and late 2000's when their teams sucked so bad. They learned to hate A&M as tee shirt horn fans when their teams sucked for so long.
2. The Big 12-2-2+1+1 didn't add TCU in response to A&M's departure. They added West Virginia when A&M left and added TCU when Mizzou announced their departure.
3. There didn't used to be much of a difference in size or academics between A&M and the other SWC schools not named tu until A&M started growing and progressing in the 1970's. Many of the older alumni of the little schools saw an equal suddenly become much larger and much more respected on a national basis. That didn't/doesn't sit well with them.
4.Leaving the Big??? and going to the SEC has removed the shadow of tu over A&M and shined a light on our stature (both academic and athletic) to those outside of Texas that really never knew A&M as a small "country" school or ever heard an Aggie joke.
5. Aggies act like they think they are special and are quick to enlist the help of the Aggie Network which is powerful. This bothers a lot of people.
