This is NOT a where do you want to go thread.
It is a where do you honestly think we end up thread.
Here is where we can go and what conference it would be against
Here are ESPN's current projections
BCS National Championship Game, Jan. 6: Alabama
Sugar Bowl, Jan. 2: Missouri
Capital One Bowl, Jan. 1: Auburn
Cotton Bowl, Jan. 3: Texas A&M
Outback Bowl, Jan. 1: LSU
Peach Bowl, Dec. 31: South Carolina
Gator Bowl, Jan. 1: Georgia
Music City Bowl, Dec. 30: Ole Miss
Liberty Bowl, Dec. 31: Tennessee
Compass Bowl, Jan. 4: Florida
Independence Bowl, Dec. 31: Vanderbilt
I think if Texas is available for the Cotton we end up there.
If not, I'm going to say the Outback vs Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State, or Wisconsin.

We got at least two more losses coming, I say Chic-Fil-A bowl

This guy nailed it.
We end the season 8-4.
Hey defense, thanks for costing us a legit shot at the natty, and wasting an awesome qb.

Here's how I honestly see it.
Auburn 2013 = LSU 2012 in terms of the game in which everyone "woke up"
I think we can honestly go 10-2.
I think Auburn drops a game they shouldn't to offset winning the one they shouldn't (us). My guess? Georgia. Auburn goes 9-3.
I think Missouri goes 9-3 with losses to South Carolina, Ole Miss, and us.
I think LSU goes 8-4 as they're starting to drop players and lose confidence.
I think Ole Miss goes 9-3. Missouri has yet to beat anyone in the SEC West.
I think South Carolina doesn't lose another game. 10-2
So, with that being said:
BCS title game
Alabama (13-0) vs. Florida State (13-0)
Allstate Sugar Bowl
Texas A&M (10-2) vs. Clemson (10-2)
Capital One Bowl
South Carolina (10-3) vs. Wisconsin (10-2)
Cotton Bowl
Missouri (9-3) vs. Texas (9-3) [let the other Big 12 refugee have a crack at it]
Peach Bowl
Auburn (9-3) vs. Virginia Tech (11-2)
Gator Bowl
LSU (8-4) vs. Michigan (9-3)
Liberty Bowl
Tennessee (7-5) vs. Rice (10-3)
BBVA Compass Bowl
Georgia (8-4) vs. UCF (9-3)
Independence Bowl
Florida (7-5) vs. N.C. State (6-6)

We do have a shot at it, look at last year. At this point in 2012 we were 5-2 with losses to UF and LSU but we also had a miracle win at Ole Miss and allowed La Tech to drop 57 on us.
Our offense is actually better this year and even though we haven't shown too many signs of improvement on defense, it is possible. LSU and Mizzou are both winnable games even with the team performing as is.

That's less ridiculous of a prediction than you thinking that Kennedy can get A&M a tournament berth in this or any year.

cgsc vs. projectpat II
But on the real, I could see us winning out just as easily as losing the rest of our conference games. Every game will be a shootout. I have zero confidence in us doing anything on defense to win a game. So ill split the difference and have us going 2-2 the rest of the way.

Difference between this years defense and last years. La Tech was the exception last year. They would be the norm this year.

As bad as our defense is this year, we still haven't allowed 50 or more points.
Conversely, we've also not held more than one opponent below 20.
Last year, we only allowed one opponent to score more than 30 points...Louisiana Tech.
This year, we've only held two opponents below 30 (SMU, SHSU)

This is assuming A&M wins out at 10-2, right? Would a 3- or 4-loss A&M team get into the Cotton Bowl? And do you think A&M beats either LSU or Missouri? I just can't see it with our defense. I don't think I'm being overly pessimistic. That defense has not stopped anybody other than SMU.

It comes down to A&M v LSU, MU and MU vs USCe.
I honestly think MU is going to find a way to blow it. They drop the USC game, A&M game, and maybe even Ole Miss. This puts USC in the champ game to get pounded by Bama. Then A&M shocks the world and beats LSU at night.
BCS Champ - Bama
Sugar - Auburn
Cap - USC (has to happen right?)
Cotton - A&M
Outback - MU
Now if things go more as they're trending (MU wins the East). A&M loses to MU, but still finds a way to beat LSU.
BCS Champ - Bama
Sugar - MU/Auburn
Cap - Auburn/MU
Cotton - A&M
Outback - USC
Now if we lose to LSU & MU
Liberty - A&M

We're gonna split the LSU/MU games, I feel.

Then were likely pickin Cotton depending on how LSU finishes. Probably not any lower than chicken.

I would rather not end up in the CB again, but it's whatev.
Posted on 10/25/13 at 9:45 pm to TbirdSpur2010
Selfishly I'd prefer the CB. It's a few HR drive from Houston and it's a chance to kick another B12 schools arse. I'm not over how poorly we played in that conference.
