Or maybe Mike Leach is a one trick pony coach. There is no adaptability with Leach. It's Air Raid throughout the entire game, even if it's obvious it's not working early in the game (as we all saw in his past three games). Any coach worth a damn would be installing an offense that can take advantage of his players' strengths and not a one dimensional system that can't adapt when exposed.

Your love for Leach is almost as strange as CGSC’s of Elko.
Dude picked on a crap A&M program in the middle years of the Big 12 and that’s it. He’s not a good coach, his air raid doesn’t work in the SEC except again crappy teams (we are one this year) and Miss State will probably finish this year 6-6. Let it go.

This. Leach will never beat a good defensive team. He's entertaining as hell and if we just wanted to have a good time, make bowl games, win some surprise games while having some inexplicable losses as well as some absolute blowout losses to good teams then he's your guy. He also isn't a finisher. In all of those years he got Tech or WSU close he could never seal the deal and take them to the next level and then inevitably he would fall back. Hire Leach and you will never win an SEC or NC. Also, when he is done you will likely have a set of talent that doesn't translate well to his replacement and can expect a major rebuild.

He’d pull a few upsets and lose to teams he shouldn’t, just like he’s always done.
Look at his overall record. If he’s such a great coach why doesn’t any other big time school hire him?

B/C weak willed admins and old fart boosters get queasy when he says shite like “players we’re too busy w/their fat little girlfriends” or are dumb enough to believe Craig and Adam James coordinated attempt to ruin his career.
And of course he has bad days. He’s been at BFE places like Tech, Wazzu, and Moo where it’s a shitload harder to get depth. He wouldn’t have that issue here.
But that’s not the point. Point is he just beat the shite out of year 5 Jimbo w/a bunch of players that for the most part we didn’t even look at. He’s a better coach than Jimbo. Would he win us a title? Maybe, maybe not. But we’d have a better shot w/him than what we have now.

Right now, Aggie is suffering the Les Miles affect. Lots of talent but to win in the SEC or a natty, you have to have a qb. As an LSU fan I know all about having incompetent qb's. The Johnsons of the world will keep you mediocre. Daniels at LSU isn't a good qb whatsoever. He's a better runner than Johnson and that has helped but as the level of competition improves, his production will suffer.
