Nobody has heard anything new on Assistants? Still maybe Yeskie for pitching and Darwin Barney for another spot. Any other names?

Bill Mosiello is staying at TCU. Kendall said he likely isn't Schloss's first choice so it would appear we're waiting on an answer or waiting on someone to exit the CWS.

Brauny mentioned Dan Fitzgerald at Dallas Baptist today. That's not a terrible name.

Yeskie is still the hot name for pitching.

ASSISTANT SCOOP: @AggieBaseball will hire @LSUbaseball recruiting coordinator and assistant coach Nolan Cain, sources tell @d1baseball. Cain spent the last five seasons with #LSU and recently had the nation’s No. 2 recruiting class. #gigem #geauxtigers @CoachSchloss

I know we already hired Schloss, but it pisses me off seeing tu in Omaha and us with our pud in our hands at home. What a shitty waste of a season.

It was great seeing the sips lose to MSU in "record" fashion in Omaha this weekend. Glad I had front row seats for it ... It also looks like Yeskie could be announced in the next few days. What a staff that would be!

Some great baseball in Omaha, although it was HOT!

He will certainly improve the talent level, which is sorely needed. It's almost a crime that we haven't recruited Houston better in baseball. I'm most interested to see if Schloss really can pull Yeskie as well - that would be an elite combination.

If so, that is a pretty strong staff. Kendall Rogers said the volunteer coach will be the hitting coach.

At TCU the hitting coach would run the practices. I wonder who will do that here. Cain?

It also sounds like player facilities are about to get a huge make over. Probably even before any fan stuff.

Looks like Mike Earley might just be the hitting coach. He's definitely leaving ASU, is a volunteer coach, and loved by his players

I have been very impressed with Schloss' hires so far. If he gets Yeskie as well that is a stellar staff. ASU had the best offense in college baseball with this guy. BTW, there was some confusion last night, but Earley was confirmed this morning

Cannot do better for a volunteer hitting coach

I know that kid. He was the best high school baseball player in Colorado - seen him play. Good hitter, and apparently loves Earley. Schloss has surprised me - now lock down the pitching coach

Do you know what happened yesterday? I saw some tweets put out there and then deleted.

I recall you bring lukewarm about the possiblity of Schloss. What were your reservations when they were interviewing people? Genuinely curious, I don't really follow baseball at all.

Schloss is known as a hard arse. I didn't really think he would be a good fit at A&M, but honestly he has exceeded expectations already. If he gets Yeskie you simply cannot put together a better staff. Not unless baseball moves to three paid assistants

Also, apparently Schloss is not going to have any trouble recruiting to A&M. Early returns are good, and I was wrong. As for yesterday, it got out early on Earley, and the deal wasn't done. It is now
