The team agrees with you, which is exactly why you'll be wrong.

It won't be close at all.

What do you consider close?

They've given up at least 30 vs every FBS team they've played and the most they've scored was 31 last week in a game they still lost by double digits.

at Arizona State - 30-23
Toledo - 41-17
Florida - 45-28
at Texas 35-13
at Georgia - 41-31

I get that they seem to have played "better" the last few weeks but they've also been down at least two scores for the majority the game in all 5 of their losses. It's not like they are losing at the end of games. By the 3rd they are getting beat down and their opponents are turtling b/c they feel confident it's over.

Exactly, none of their games have been particularly close. They just score some garbage time td’s in the 4th to make it look like they were competitive.

Arizona St.- ASU up 27 half way thru 3rd, ASU stops trying to bring MSU to within 7 at the end.

Florida- Florida up 21 with 8:42 to play, beat MSU by 17

Georgia- MSU was mildly competitive but UGA was still up 17 with 3:30 left to play.

I’ll give MSU credit for their scrappiness but they still have a true freshman QB with a lackluster o line and the worst defense in the P4.

I despise this game more than any other because of having to listen to the cowbells. It’s almost as bad as the vandy whistler.

I feel like if we beat this team in the way that we should, and in the way we should’ve so many times with other coaches, then my battered Aggie syndrome will start to ease off

And even those scores are misleading, as State was down by 21+ in the second half of ALL those games. Arizona State and Georgia went to sleep but had a combined 51 point lead in the late third of those games.

70% of State’s yards and points this year have come in the last 21 minutes of game time in games in which they were down by over 3 touchdowns. They’re piling up garbage stats.

I just can’t see gameday going to CS

I think we’re almost guaranteed to get them against Texas. Can’t see them coming 3 times in one season

They will probably go to Annapolis for the Notre Dame/Navy game but that’s the only other good game next week.

There’s also Washington/Indiana in Bloomington but Washington isn’t good.

QB play and the first half defense are not going to cut it. Elko got the D ready for the second half and we held them to only 7.

A road sec win by double digits is always something to be happy with, glad we got past MSU and I don’t have to hear those stupid cowbells through my tv speakers for a couple of year (or more depending on the new scheduling).

Connor wasn’t as sharp as Mizzou game and receivers had a couple of drops on what would have been big pass plays. Gotta get that cleaned up on offense, but I’m glad to see us consistently putting up 30+ points, such a refreshing change from the last couple of jimbo years.

Defense still worries me as we aren’t good at pass coverage, some of these upcoming teams have pretty decent QBs and that’s gonna give us trouble.

After last night I know we probably shouldn't complain about the officiating in our game but it was bad, really bad. Pretty clear there was some home cooking going on, probably cost us at least 14 points.

I wasn’t going to go down that path, but it did seem like we got screwed on a handful of big plays.

Looked like we didn’t tackle worth a shite. We held too much. Weigman had a rough game and made a few terrible decisions.

At least that is what I saw.
