Carter knew what he was doing, and so did the coaches. That’s why they have picked up on DB recruiting this week. As soon as he got on that plane, he was gone

He’s just a little bitch who couldn’t man up and tell the truth. He’ll never crack the lineup at Bama - too immature

It sucks to lose Carter, but I think the big difference between this staff and the last is that we have some guys who we have stayed recruiting even though we didn’t have spots for them at the time. This probably won’t end up like the Sheffield situation where we end up with nothing. Banks and Jackson aren’t Carter and Harris but they aren’t complete wastes of scholarships either.

Reading Texags after a decommit is painful. Bunch of grown arse pussies, it's embarrassing.

I love when people flip out about the definition of commitment and how these kids are spoiled this and that. Yet they can’t stopnrunning their mouth when we flip someone else. This is how the game is played. It ain’t changing.

Apparently Ke'Shun Brown is visiting us. Has good size and hits violently, would be a good addition if we can get him.

Brown has pretty good film, but he is never playing as an ILB - always on the outside. We need ILB's in the worst way.

He looks like he can add some good weight to his frame though and move inside with a redshirt year

I am taking Dreshun Miller to WV as good news. I am assuming we passed, which I am taking as good news with Banks and maybe a juco.

Its gonna be hard regardless to feel good about this secondary class unless carter pulls a brown and decides to flip back. Hes as good as it gets and we let him go. That is a huge blow

So do we end up out of the top 10?

We will definitely be top 10, not sure about top 5 anymore though.

Only way I can see us recovering from losing Carter is flipping him back (unlikely), flipping Akeem Dent (rumored to be looking around, still highly unlikely), getting back in with Chris Steele (unlikely), picking up Christian Williams or Brandon Turnage if they get process out of Alabama's class (no idea if we have even been recruiting either of them at any point).

Getting Banks will be nice but yeah, most likely not gonna recover on CB

Banks might end up being a better college player than Carter. We'll see, but if we get Banks and Smith, I'll feel fine about corner. (I know there is talk about Smith playing slot.)

Carter's athleticism will be impossible to replace. Don't find too many kids with a 4.3 40 time and 40" verticle

Carter is a great prospect and losing him sucks. But we have the #2 and #4 Safety committed, and the #10 CB committed with some decent options to replace Carter.

If you can't feel good about the best secondary class we've signed in probably 20 years, I don't see the point in following recruiting.

EY is really damn good, and Carter has some red flags. It's not sour grapes to admit as much. Banks does not have Carter's athleticism, but, as far as I know, he doesn't have as many red flags.

the worst thing you can say about carter is that he has some personal red flags. and even then, id say you take those guys and do whatever you can to keep them under control/bury the bullshite that happens

Where is that coming from? Only knock I have seen on him was he missed the second half of his senior year because he hurt his shoulder.
