I should probably feel bad about feeling good about this.
After last year collapse to ucla, I have no sympathy for him

Of course Sumlin would lose to a physical team.

Take the nation’s best dual threat QB and turn him into a one dimensional mediocre QB. Nice work Sumlin.
Wait until he makes him transfer...

Yep, just saw the highlights and noticed that 3rd and 7 run they gave up at the end to allow BYU to run the rest of the clock out. Same story, different day.

9 minute post game analysis from effeminate West Coast sport writers...but definitely worth the watch for the "I TOLD YOU SO"'s
It's like they are shocked that a Sumlin team did typical Sumlin things!
Did they not watch any Aggy games from the past 4 years?! What exactly were they expecting?

Having watched the game I have to put a lot of it on Mazzone. I have no idea why Sumlin brought him along. In theory his offense could be pretty good but the way he calls games is straight awful and neuters any potential scheme advantages.
Obviously Sumlin is the HC and it was his choice to bring Mazzone in so the blame is ultimately his but I have to think with an OC who has a better feel for calling plays they don't lose that game. Even the announcers were openly questioning the play calling by the late second quarter.
I'll repeat my prediction from the game thread last night, Arizona will stumble to a mediocre year, Mazzone will be let go as the scapegoat, and Sumlin will hire Kingsbury within hours of him getting canned at Tech.

“Longgggg drive for BYU, 3 and out for Arizona. Longggg drive for BYU, 3 and out for Arizona”
Now where have I heard this before.......
It’s really like none of the Arizona sportswriters did any of their homework, that they already seem surprised but what’s going on.
Just like the guy who posted the article from one of their sports writers hoping Arizona was going to use the TE a lot more and open up the offense....hopefully that guy didn’t watch our season opener where they showed the graphic stating 7 catches by a TE for us last year (and even that surprised me to be honest) vs the 5 that we already had in the first half of that game.

By my count, Khalil Tate threw 11 passes that traveled at least 38 yards in the air vs. BYU. Three resulted in defensive pass interference. The other eight were incomplete.

Is it just me or does sumlin look like he’s lost a lot of weight?

Kingsbury will be too hot a commodity as an OC to end up at Arizona IMO. Someone will pay big money for him that Arizona cannot afford

He always seem to lose weight during the off season, and then gained it all back during the season.

That guy in Jimbos offense would have had some good #'s.

Total Tight End Catches in the Sumlin era: 32 (1 TD)
Nehemiah Hicks - 9 (1 TD)
Cameron Clear - 9
Tanner Schorp - 8
Michael Lamothe - 2
Jordan Davis - 2
Ben Compton - 1
Kalvin Cline - 1
32 catches by tight ends in 6 years of Sumlin coaching. Sternberger will top that by midseason. Sternberger already has more TD catches than every tight end that played for Kevin Sumlin.

So along that line, what do you think of Dana at WV this year? They worked well together and both could be on the market this year.

Dana should have WV second in the BDF with one loss on the season. Is there a reason he should leave?
