Looch is a nice dude, every time I've interacted with him he's nice and personable. Saw him at a casino before the LSU game and we shot the shite for five or ten minutes.
At the end of the day, if their stupid fricking drama is hurting the recruiting process, it'll be handled in short order. I can see a worrisome father that has been pro-Oklahoma waiting for a slip up from the A&M side(and media is considered our side) to put one last thing in his ear. And if that's the case, it'll be ended shortly. Looch is aware of perception and he won't let it affect recruiting.
On this whole dilemma in question do you remember the Matt Davis vs Kenny Hill debate? Hamm was adamant Davis was getting the inside track and would win the job. Looch said it was Hill. What's the difference? Why were they so far off base? Hamm does a great job of building relationships with high school kids and their families. He was talking to players to figure out who was going to win the back up job, and specifically Matt. When Looch wants to know who is going to win the back up job he picks up the phone and texts Spav. I have no doubt Hamm was pushy and invasive with kids. That's how he gets scoop. That's how he runs his business. Looch builds relationships with the staff.
All in all this gives me tired head.

If I'm a parent/coach of a recruit, I tell my boy not to talk to anyone.
We're not recruiting against Texas Tech and Oke State; we're in battles w LSU and Auburn--situations where kids are looking for reasons to truncate their lists of prospective schools.
Sadly, stuff like this matters.
These dot com guys are a buncha idiots who need (a) serious perspective, and (b) to get a life.

all I know is if Hamm really did follow a player into a restroom to get an interview I want him banned from coming onto campus on top of his credentials getting permanently yanked.

This is so comical and I definitely saw this coming with Hamm at some point, just not this quickly. He had little man syndrome ever since he was a student at A&M. Anytime you would get in a sports argument with him, he would just get angrier and keep going even if he was wrong and losing.
It's funny that he has called Looch a jock-sniffer on several occasions (he is if you watch him on Northgate and the Tap on the weekends), but that's the pot calling the kettle black. This is definitely a battle that Hamm is not going to win due to TA's size and popularity with A&M, but he is too ignorant and arrogant to cut his losses. This meeting at the basketball game isn't going to do anything

The only way Looch loses his is if TexAgs fires him first and that won't happen because he's the face of that website

It got crazy last night. What really pisses me off is that we have worked so hard to get away from this perception of us and it is begining to come to fruition and these 2 idiots who aren't part of the program but are perceived to be are putting this foolish negitive bullshite out there and it's not just a regional thing anymore it's national.

yea if this public shite keeps up I wouldn't be against Looch getting some kind of punishment as well.
All of this could have been kept much quieter had he not obviously fanned the flames (lol at his fake arse "I want to stay above this" act) which is clearly meant to harm his competition.
Bottom line, it shouldn't be hard to be a mouthpiece to the university and stay above the fray but it seems to be too much for him and Hamm.
