Everything changed two weeks ago as far as national perception and the talking heads of ESPN and how they portrayed us as a team.
We dominated Arkansas but it was a brutal physical game. We left it banged up but the media loved us and we were portrayed as Bama's equal and as a true contender.
What changed? Why did it change?
1. We rested several star players as we hit the road for SC. We experimented on offense with our passing game which put pressure on our defense on the road. But a 100% Texas Aggie team would have beat SC by 35 on the road. Fact.
2. We took on a Tennessee team that had a lot of talent and that was riding an unbelievable emotional high. They thought they were invincible and were here to play that way. But we dominated that game as well for the most part, up 3 touchdowns in the 3rd quarter and with just over a minute to go should have gone up 14 if not for Williams getting the ball punched out on the 1/2 yd line. So instead of the headline being "Texas Aggies defeat top 10 Tennessee by 2 td's" it becomes "Aggies escape in double overtime"
3. Bama was not looking like nor was it being discussed as a juggernaut until AFTER their Tennessee game, which lets face it, was a joke. Yes they played at Tennessee, but against 5 fewer Tennessee starters than we faced and against a team that had just had its soul ripped out by us.
So now Bama is an unstoppable force of nature because they beat a team that we crippled, and we are a lamb for the slaughter because we took Tennessee's best shot and won.
Men, I'm telling you to strap it up. We are not the team the nation is portraying us to be. We are rested, almost 100% and every bit the team that throttled Arkansas on the road.
We have the weapons on offense,
we have the weapons on defense.
We have super stars
and selfless workhorses who give it all for the team,
and even a player or two of destiny.
Yes, we are a complete team. We are a prepared team. We are the Fighting Texas Aggies.
NOW SHUT UP AND DRINK THIS KOOLAID

why? because Bama crushed a team that had only 14 of its starters? A team that had had its heart ripped from its body the previous week?
Because before the Tennessee vs Bama game we would have maybe at worst been 6 point underdogs on the road.
you are letting the media sway you with a false narrative.

nah, it's mainly because they are going to sell out on the run, and force knight to beat them with his arm...and i don't see that happening.

You say sell out on the run like that will stop our run. Arkansas went all out on stopping our run, all out.
Bama hasn't played a run game that involves a qb/back threat like ours yet, and we are damn good at it. Just ask Arkansas.

Alabamas biggest weakness is giving up big plays which we are 9th in the country at. If they sell out to stop the run and leave single coverage on Josh Reynolds they will regret it.

And even with all of their attention on the run I don't see them keeping Williams and Knight both contained consistently

We win 28-17. Hurts' completion % plummets into the 20s when pressured. We score one on defense and walk out victorious in what really wasn't ever that close. #koolaid bitches
