We’ve low key been doing this for the last 6 weeks
Each of our last 4 games was over at some point in the third quarter.

This. Honestly I think this is what's been our strength RE: the CFP committee thus far tbh.
Thr final scores and style points are nice, but ultimately fluff. We've been dominant. Need to have another performance where we simply choke the life out of the opponent by the 3rd quarter. Doesn't have to be pretty, but one of those game where everyone in the stadium knows no way is TAMU losing.

I think A&M narrowly missing the playoffs this year is going to force Fisher to rethink some things. Style points matter in modern football - just winning isn't enough to make the playoffs

I don't think that is it. Go look at his Winston years. In 2013 the avg score was 52-12. Mond is not build to run the score up. We play it smart and shorten the game when it's in hand because it's too much of a risk to let it fly with our offense as it's built now.

Yep. Very happy with how it played out. They had a chance to get stuck in quicksand and quit but pulled it together and finished.
