collins was the better of the two walkons and will probly play 4-5 min at the point. he doesnt do much offensively but takes care of the ball.
honestly I'd be happy with that. It's all Anthony Collins did by tourney time last year. If all he can do is dribble it down, pass it to Tyler and play decent defense, he's super valuable.
i missed this comment earlier. chris collins will play a similar role but he cant beat people off the dribble like A. Collins did. think more of an andrew darko (PG from Klein that played for turge). he'll be valuable against a full court press but other than that, hes just going to pound the air out of the ball while we get into our sets.

Today is hoops signing day. We signed 3 players:
PG TJ Starks
SF Savion Flagg
PF Isiah Jasey
All 3 are very good players that should be contributors next year. We have 2 seniors (Miller and Hampton) and 2 open roster spots so if no one leaves early, we have room for 1 more still. However, word is TTM probably goes after this year which would give us 2 spots. My guess is we'll add one more in the spring and if TTM leaves, look to add another grad transfer to fill the spot.
This class, combined with the addition of Caldwell, and few impact losses from this year's roster, should make everyone pretty damn optimistic for next year.

believe he's graduating in May and he'll be 23. Probably ready to get on with his pro career at that point.
He can go to Europe immediately if (as is likely) he can't catch on an NBA roster. Given he's not an American nor a native English speaker, there's far less mental barrier to that as well.

Best thing for him is returning and helping us make a final four run. Or at least that's what I tell myself

since caldwell can practice with the team next semester, does he have to use a redshirt so he doesnt lose a year of eligibility?

I certainly don't know all the ncaa ins and outs but your 5-year clock starts when you enroll whether you are even on the team or not. So yeah, he'll use his redshirt.
