We open up as a 13 point favorite over Ole Miss

10+ point Vegas favorites at kickoff win almost 90% of the time and cover 70% of the time. I’m telling you guys, OM a lot worse than most here think. I think UAB would beat them by 2 scores if they played at home.

Ole Miss’ run defense is probably slightly better than NW State’s

I’m not kidding. It we commit to it I think we could run for 400 yards.

The fact that we're even considering that we might lose to this team is Fisher's fault for sticking with Mond Mond and Sumlin's fault for picking a shitty qb, below average wr and nonexistent lb over a competent qb.

You’re considering that, I am not. We have a very low chance of losing at home to OM.

You’ve been acting like an emotional autistic child for weeks here and it’s unbecoming. This drawn out tantrum is a drain on the board.

I probably get into it w/CG more than anyone here by a good margin but I’m with him on this. I don’t see any reason to believe we will shut down their passing game nor do I think it’s a lock we will can play ball control so well they never have a chance to score. If we roll out Mond again I’m expecting the offense to continue to get yards between the 20s and then stall out like we’ve done all year. The most we’ve scored on a P5 school this year is 26 vs a supremely average USCe. Piling up yards means jack shite when you can’t score in the red zone and Mond has proven he’s terrible at that time and time again.

I think we are the more talented team and I think we should win but the last two weeks have been completely uninspiring and do not instill any real confidence that we will put together a game for a full 4 quarters.

That said I’ll be in B/CS this weekend screaming my head off in a sea west side of blue hairs who get mad if you are too boisterous as always.

*edit* we also had 26 vs Clemson but if we’re all being honest two of those TDs should have been end zone INTs.

And that’s fine. The empirical data indicates you’re both going to be wrong but that’s not what I’m taking issue with.

My issue is him using this board as his own personal outlet for histrionics and numerous borderline nonsensical pseudo statistical threads after losses this year. I don’t mind people posting opinions refuted by evidence but posting four threads about how the length of your pubic hair correlated with on field success is entirely unnecessary.

I get that. It’s part of why I get put out with him. It’s not going to stop though. But this ain’t TexAgs where the ban hammer comes out for stuff like that.

I know, but it also means I can tell him to stop being a bleeding count

And I generally like him a lot more than most. When we’re winning he’s a trip.

Believe me, if there was a medical procedure that I could undergo to make me stop caring about A&M athletics I would take it without a second thought.

With the exception of the 2012 season I’ve gotten no joy out of following aggie football as a former student.

It’s like saying a team that struggles against the triple option will automatically struggle against the power-I because they gave up a bunch of rushing yards.

No it's not. This comparison is as dumb as your playoff talk a week ago.

It absolutely is

Don’t get mad at me because the differences in passing schemes are above your level of understanding. Just because it’s not as obvious as the difference in a flexbone and power-I doesn’t make it less true.

Weren't you the one that had information that was going to get Sumlin fired for cause after 2015...I mean after 2016...I mean after 2017 to avoid paying his buyout?

Not relevant whatsoever to this discussion, but after 2017 yes. The two biggest events in question happened in 2014-2015.

I can only imagine all parties wanted it to go away and not fight it out publically. Coaches have absolutely been fired for cause over less.

But again, I’m not sure what that has to do with the false belief that Jordan Ta’amu is a great quarterback.

Less than zero. Negative joy. Being an Aggie fan is a curse. I love and absolutely hate A&M Football simultaneously. There’s nothing I can do about it because I can’t will myself to be a fan of another team - Aggie fandom is just part of my DNA - but it’s definitely a bad thing. Like a genetic defect. The sickle cell of sports.

Kids make a big difference and puts things into perspective. Since having kids I take almost everything else less seriously.

I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve felt genuinely upset after a sporting event the last three years. After the Cowboys 2016 divisional playoff loss, after the Ole Miss game in 2015 and after the Mississippi State game in 2016. Most of the sports losses just roll off now.

I’ve gotten a lot better since I had a kid. I actually did a ton of stuff this weekend - trimmed a bunch of trees, painted a room, did some photography - whereas previously I would have just descended into a funk and/or drank a lot after a choke loss like that.
