I'm aggressor, Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 1993! My name comes from Aggressor 17 which was my outfit in the Corps. We were a new outfit my fish year and were disbanded because of size (the Corps was shrinking fast at that time) my Senior Year. I actually have my Outfit Sign in my backyard by my pool, an interesting thing about it was it was drawn by a Sr from our Sister Outfit we broke away from "Thrashin 3", a guy named Benjamin Knox.

I live in Austin with my wife and 2 boys and am a 2nd Generation. My Dad was Head Yell Leader in '58 who was career AF and is retired to CS where he is the hardest core Old Ag I have ever seen. He and my Mom have Season tix to at least 7 sports, he was Class Agent for decades, and is a volunteering maniac.

My first Aggie game was in 1979 when A&M beat Penn State in Happy Valley with Curtis Dickey running wild. Been hooked ever since.

Cool stuff. That day was opening day of dove season in El Campo, Tx, that year. Shot a bunch of doves that morning, then listened to the game on radio from my grandmother's couch that afternoon. A glorious day all around.

Curtis played for Bryan, same district as Cleburne. The game was not pretty for Cleburne fans and really ugly for a DT guy. I got introduced to him at A&M by one of my classmates who happened to be a groupie and knew the entire team. He mentioned I was from Cleburne and Curtis had a blank look on his face until the recognition set in, then he broke out in uncontrollable laughter.

Curtis dominated us like nobody else. There was just no hope. I never saw another guy close to that fast.

My bad for not adding: Good on your dad.

I'm class of 2011 too! Whoop! Was a Comm major and in the Corps of Cadets where I met my awesome husband TBirdSpur '10. Basically, I am a Texans fan and an Aggie fan.

My parents live in Seabrook, which is SE Houston. I'm in the Air Force though so I am currently stationed near Kansas City, MO, which isn't bad. But it's no TX. Looking forward to going to the Mizzou v A&M game in about a week and a half.

Well, it's nice to have a thread to introduce myself in. A bit ol' Vandy howdy to y'all fine folks of Texas A&M. I'm randomways (obviously) because my actual nickname in real life is -- or, rather, was -- Random. Because my work requires me to be, I'm currently a resident of the Mitten State, but in the upper part of the Lower Peninsula (not to be mistaken for the Upper Peninsula), where the people are as close to Southern in nature as you'll find in the northern wastelands. Can't get decent barbecue to save your life, unless you count Mongolian barbecue, but the folks are friendly and the rednecks are plentiful and coated in plaid as they dance merrily across the snowy landscape.

Thanks for granting me access to your board and I hope to have many fine conversations with my fellow Shorthorn punchers.

Howdy, random

My mom and my grandparents hail from the Wolverine state (and my mom IS a Wolverine ). They (grandparents) live in the tiny town of Covert in the southwestern portion of the state, near Benton Harbor and South Haven not far from the Lake.

I used to travel to Michigan on business quite often and could never get a decent meal. I remember one place that looked decent and they put ice cubes in my red wine. I would ask residents, "So what type of food is famous around here?" and they would look at me with a blank stare. One time I asked that and they took me to their favorite place which was a Texas themed steakhouse kind of like Texas Land & Cattle. I just did my best to smile.

Never forget my last trip there before I left the company that required the travel. I was standing at a gas station filling up my rental in -10 degree weather as a 30 mile per hour wind was blowing through me and thinking about how much I hated that they wouldn't put "stoppers" on the fuel pumps so you could fill up your car without holding the damn nozzle the entire time.

T&P.
