If you take Conner and he's a draft risk, you have to take a second qb that's fine being part of a 2 QB class. Yeah kids like to compete but a lot these days get offended if they're not the lone QB taken.

In case you haven't been watching, Fisher has been shoring up the backup QB positions with walk-ons and transfers. We still have Calzada, King, and Stowers as the "elite" of the QB's. If Weigman were to go into baseball, we'd probably get a good transfer to replace him.

Doubt there are two QB's, even if is Weigman. Portal has changed that

I’ve got some family that’s somewhat tied in donor-ship wise that a little whiskey talk from time to time mention some things but I think they mainly just read boards and want to take the credit

Weigman

I watched this kids highlights. He's a straight gunslinger and playmaker. He's a lot of fun to watch. Maybe not as polished or accurate as Klubnik, but you can't go wrong with either. The 2022 Texas QB class is ridiculous.

I just want one of the three of Weigman, Klubnik, and Simpson. I'm not really that picky

I know Conners grand dad- he coached me in several sports when I was growing up and I still stay in contact with him.

I personally think he would be a tough get but boy he sure is fun to watch.

The family is strong UT. I could be looking way too much into it but it’s just my gut.

I want to point out I know next to jack shite when it comes to recruiting.

LJ leans somewhere different every week. We will see if he gets down to Austin again next weekend. If so, he's gone

Like I said, it will depend on if he makes it to Austin this weekend. They are confident he will do so, and our guys don't expect any more trips. Thank God there isn't but one more week of this

Not getting LJ isn't the end of the world if he doesn't choose A&M though. This is just more of the bragging rights at this point.

Agreed. It's more about perception in Texas, and the horns want this one badly. We are on pace to own Houston this next recruiting cycle, especially on defense. Plus LJ grew up orange, so that doesn't help them either if he goes to A&M

Texags guys think he's a slight A&M lead, for what it's worth. I think they're still fairly confident.
