I can see how my statement was confusing. I know Jones is going to be a CB for us. I meant I'm hyped about him and the talent we're getting in the secondary in general. Would love to get another CB on that level. Would be amazing if we got Grimes and didn't have to go juco this year to fill gaps at CB.

I'm pretty sure Eric Young was recruited to corner, right? He just kept growing and outside of demani there's not a surefire stud. I think Leon could be solid this year potentially. But Young or Brian Williams might get a little more speed out there. Will be interesting to see how safety shakes out throughout the year.

Imagine a secondary in two years of Demani, Antonio, Jones, and Grimes. Would be unreal.

It would be sick. Harris and Diggs at DE, McKinley Jackson and Raikes at DT. Hopefully some ppl pop at LB. I almost want us to win 10 straight this season for the sole reason of finishing out the 2021 class and recruiting for 2022. I really hope we are able to be undefeated going into Alabama.

Romello Brinson is CB'd to Miami. Will be interesting to see what happens to our WR class, if he goes there. Has anyone heard of other WR we are targeting?

I like how you left out top 100 national recruit Erick Young. It’s fun having talent in the secondary

Interesting. Well at least Shadrach Banks should be a stud

I'm very impressed with Elijad Robinson's recruiting. How many are from the NE on the team right now? I saw some CB picks for Taleeq Robbins as well. Aren't yall also high on the list for Tywone Malone?

He has us in the mix with those two guys mentioned.
He seems to be our out of State closer.
Love him, hope we can keep him on when elko leaves.
From the NE
Fadil Diggs - NJ
Joshua Moten - MD
Isaiah Raikes - NJ
Adarious Jones - VA
Jahzion Harris - NY
He also helped us close on
Donell Harris FL
Mckinnley Jackson MS
Victory Vaka CA
Derrick Hunter FL
ETA: keep your paws off Robinson, tiga. You cant even put enough respect on his first name.

Robinson absolutely deserves a chance once Elko leaves if that’s what he wants. Or at least a Co DC title and bump in pay

I sure hope we keep him. He's a phenomenal asset. And hopefully TJ Rushing turns out to be a good recruiter too. Think Elko would ever go there Venables path and stay DC for a while?

The fact he’s been interviewing and mentioned for a bunch of HC jobs already in his time here and has hopped DC jobs quite a bit makes me think it’s unlikely. Money talks though and maybe he sticks around a while until the right HC job comes up
Narduzzi is one (who we almost got under Sumlin) that was in the mix for HC jobs seemingly every year but ended up staying at MSU for quite a bit until taking the Pitt HC job

Good points. I'm hopeful he keeps killing it as DC and waits for a bigger opening than some of the stuff he's interviewed for thus far.
