Pretty sure he's going to UNC.

I think the next thing is a CB from Penn, but he's on the shorter side I think. Will be interesting to see how good he is. Maybe a RB from Florida. Like everyone has said it's probably slow for a while. And yeah, it seems like Tony Grimes is going to UNC.

Makes me wonder though... If Herman gets fired and Mack is recruiting like this I wonder if he would get asked to come back to Austin. That would be nuts.

You were right about the CB from Philly. Just committed.

No chance, I think.

I was just talking with someone on Friday about this. How many coaches on the hot seat will get an extra year or two out of this because programs can’t afford to fire them with the COVID-related loss of revenue?

I imagine the 2020-2021 coaching turnover will be at a 25 year low

The more I find out about this Philly kid the more excited I am for him. Up to 6’ 180+ going into his senior year with speed for days. I assume the competition isn’t all that stellar, but he allowed 2 catches for an entire season. That’s good at any level.

It sounds like he is getting a bump from all 3 recruiting services also, so should see his composite ranking go up a bit.

Shaka will go before pee wee Herman, even before COVID they just didn’t have the money to do it. They are broke. They didn’t give up all revenue from their basketball arena because it was a new and creative way to build one. They tried to raise the funds for over 10 years just like their decade long attempts to build a tennis facility. They have mismanaged their money at levels that make A&M’s management loan to the athletic dept 20 years ago seem Warren Buffett

That's cool. I didn't know that. I thought he was sub 6' and was a little concerned. But the staff has been recruiting so well I figured there's no way they would take a scrub.

I agree with that. Also think similarly you’ll see new contracts get squeezed, coaches who have success and would normally get a big raise may not right away

Man, that's encouraging. I'm fine with Jimbo v Herman. I would like them to keep Herman for a while. Hope he continues to stay mediocre.

Why does TA feel like Landon Jackson won't stick to LSU?

I don't have a sub there, just listen to some of their radio stuff. It came across to me more like, he may not bc y'all are recruiting a bunch of DE and our depth chart may be more favorable. They didn't say this recently, but it seemed like around the time he committed a&m was in the lead. Obviously, LSU got the commitment, so not sure about validity of that but at a min we were right there.

I am feeling this CB class.

We have #16, #19, and #34 (247 rankings) already committed.
