This team only got better as the season went on. Beating Arkansas and keeping them at home is glorious!

Team started poorly. Got better and now they are pretty good more often than not. I attribute much of this to Buzz and his ability to motivate. I love his press conferences.

I think we saw a unit that took a while to figure themselves out. Buzz and his staff worked hard and the players bought in. It took a while for everyone to figure out how to get the best out of what was available. As the season progressed the team found it.
This bunch is light years ahead of where they were at Thanksgiving.

How close to being a tourney team are we if we went 3-0 vs Harvard, Temple, & Fairfield?
We’d be 19-11 (10-8) and probably not too dissimilar from day MSU’s NET. We’d probably have a shot to earn a NCAA birth with a good SECT showing.

Had we gone 3-0 at Thanksgiving the conversation of course would be different. However we went 0-3 and it was brutal. That is part of the growth. We really hit rock bottom and slowly but surely starting climbing out of the hole. I want this bunch to win a couple of games in Nashville and see what happens after that.
Now for all of our amusement: what if we do get a NIT berth and drew the "defending national champions" - Sips, and the game was at Reed Arena? Can you imagine the melt down coming out of Austin over that?

I don’t think it’s possibly to meltdown over the location of an NIT game. I’m not sure we could do enough to host anyway.

I love this team. I never thought I would be excited to watch NIT games but here we are and I don’t care
