One down one to go.

Not necessarily. I think he and Spavital both need to lose the Co-Offensive Coordinator titles and stick to their positions (QB and RB)

Spav isn't Co-OC. If you're referring to McKinney he was demoted back to just RB coach before the bowl last year

According to peeps around here and other sites, he did.........in the second half of the LSU game.

But I rather he didn't. We all saw what it did to Mike Sherman and it could do the same to some coaches as well.

I could have sworn he kept the Co-Oc title as a technicality.

Regardless, they still both suck giant Nuevo Laredo Mexican tranny dick.

Yeah I understand. I just wonder who we can find that can run this offense how we all know it can and should be. Or if spav can spend the whole offseason learning from his frick ups this year

I'm on board with Venables. Clemson's defensive FEI in his three years has gone #51 -> #13 -> #1 this year.

I also don't see the issue with him being a former OU guy when half the fanbase seems to think Muschamp would be a great hire. I'm sure both have said some uncharitable things about us over the years.

His last two defenses there weren't that great though and there's a reason he left. Not sure if he's worth that 1.5 mil being thrown around but he's a top 3-4 guy for us for sure

We could hire a guy that bad mouths college station & aggies to the media weekly, so long as he has motherfrickers ready to rip heads off on Saturday. I wouldn't have a problem with that.

I'm almost appalled at myself for believing Snyder was turning things around earlier this year. Greatest news I've heard all week.

Venables would improve our defensive recruiting which doesn't have a whole lot of weaknesses so that would be nice

Chin pubes stated in a Venables thread that we haven't made any offers and thinks we'll go after Muschamp first

I'm ok with Venables or Muschamp. And I really don't give a shite what they said in the past. I want a mean and nasty defense.

However, keeping Spavital is making this change all for naught. His atrocious play calling cost us this past game. With a suspect D, it is imperative that we score points and move the ball. Instead, we did bubble screen left, bubble screen right and then a draw. He did not even try to thow the ball vertucally until the third quarter. And it has been the same shite all season. This caused multiple 3 and outs, which made our defensive problems much worse. That is on Spav.

Spav is in way above his head and contributed heavily to our many problems on defense by putting them back on the field time and time again.

If Sumlin doesn't fire Spav, then I suspect he will also get shite canned after next year because it won't matter who our DC is.

Yah makes you wonder if Spav will be a puppet going forward for the stake of perceived stability.

I must agree with this.

Snyder's shortcomings deserved him getting the boot, but down the stretch this year in particular, Spavital turned our offense from something to tear to something that was a shell of its former self. JFF or no JFF, there's no reason for the atrocious playcalling putting our already taxed defense in horrible situations.

Well his coaching needs to improve, we have nfl caliber players on our line and we are barely a top 4-5 line in the sec this year
