All three should be gone assuming you can land the coach you want. Maybe you can't and you're willing to give sumlin next season, fine, but we will have a worse record next year and this team might simply quit on him and become an embarrassment.
Sumlin was done after 59-0.

Eh, I disagree.
If he fixes the OC/OL after the 2014 season, that arse whipping becomes pretty much irrelevant.
Unfortunately, he didn't do crap about the OC and may have made another bad hire at OL.

You really want to know what I think based on what I know?
OK send Kyler on his way, fire KDS and start over retaining only one coach and have that one coach weigh heavily on the new HC hire.

Fair enough.

I think this is the absolute worst thing we could do at this point. I guess you can block him from a transfer to schools we play, but if he wants to go to Texas let him go. Who gives a shite. Forcing him to stay will only make the situation more untenable and toxic in the locker room.
I agree 100%. Don't strong arm him. Or make more promises.

Sumlin is only the coach right now bc a solid replacement has yet to be secured. We're only delaying the inevitable at this point. If he's done half of what ppl are alluding to, then it should be an easy decision.
Unfortunately the steps after the decision are not easy or quick.

This idea that Sumlin "deserves" anything because he was fortuitous enough to luck into JFF is mind-numbingly naive,

Waiting one year might out chip kelly in play for us. Many of the major schools hired this year so there aren't a ton of big names with coaches on the hotseat next year not named Sumlin and strong. Could be interesting

Allen Moorehead needs to go. Dude seems to be stuck in the year 2007 with how obsessed he seems about his bench-warming arse being on the right team at the right time.
We need real coaches, not guys who seem to be reminiscing about a game he had ZERO impact on.

One more year puts us one year further away. Chip Kelly isn't a sure thing. He could stay in the NFL or come back to college and not be good.
He doesn't like to recruit, or deal with boosters. Nike was recruiting for Oregon, not chip kelly. He's been on record saying he likes the NFL dynamic better.
He may be awesome, but I don't think you can wait another year if you can get someone now to agree in principle. The time is now.
Chief's D will be solid no matter what. We need someone who can run a big boy program, and a serviceable offense. With as little development and how hands off Sumlin is reported to be, we could even see a first year boost instead of a transition period.
Sumlin used to be aggressive, and on top of everything. Now it seems like he's being cautious and reactionary; in games and overall program responsibilities. Maybe that's because he's coasting on 5mill a year guaranteed?
He took over a team of hard nosed, physical guys who were coached by technicians and let them loose. It was awesome. It hasn't been since. I've made every excuse for him but I think even if he had upperclassmen across the board, he's never going to be w championship caliber coach.

Well he apparently didn't show up for practice again today so Kyler can just go ahead and piss off.
Even if he decided to stay I wouldn't start him in the bowl and he'd have to work his arse off to have a shot at it next year. I doubt he'd do that though so...

Sumlin isn't getting fired this year. Even if he had gone 5-7 or similar. Too many BMAs in oil and with it down around $35 a barrel they ain't going to be opening their pocketbooks anytime soon to fund something that would cost somewhere around $20 mil from what I last heard.

If Sumlin is going to go down he may as well go out in a blaze of glory by having a team vote and then leaking that the team voted to not take Kyler back regardless of his decision.
Seriously, it's one thing to be pissed at coaches and be a shite to them but its entirely another to be such an a-hole to your entire team.

If Kyler is transferring, I don't see a great chance of Sumlin staying. It would probably take a home run OC hire. But what home run OC is going to accept a job with the immediate QB situation the way it is?
Sometimes things just don't work out, and sometimes it's just time for a change. Even with really good coaches. I think I've reached that point w/ Sumlin. There's just too much bubbling over now.

1. We don't need a diva QB causing drama at practice, during the games, off the field, etc. I'd rather have a QB committed to the team and the program. Kyler can go and I wouldn't actually care at this point.
2. Spav needs to go. Every defense knows his 5-play playbook already.
3. Sumlin deserves another year, with or without Spav. His decision on what to do with Spav is monumental for him as his 2016 will come with a guaranteed hot seat. If he fires Spav, who he hires will weigh heavy on his job security next year too.

Maybe not a homerun OC, but I could see a good OC taking the job, knowing he has a good defense, some good/great weapons on offense, a huge paycheck and a hypothetically Jalen Hurts as a building block.
It's not anything close to the perfect situation, but there are plenty worse out there.

It's good to see that almost all of us are like minded in all three items
Kyler wants out? Aggies of the rant have spoken, good fricking riddance
