Outside of money I think that’s a bad move.

With Jimbo coming to A&M, that means Mullen doesn't have to play him every year.

God riddance, hated playing Mullen teams. This shakeup could put the west in a better spot than the last several years for us. With Fisher a coaching ranking would look something like:

1) Saban - Bama
2) Fisher - A&M
3) Mahzaln - AU
4) Miss St/Arkansas
5) Miss St/Arkansas
6) Orgeron - LSU
7) Ole Miss

Sumlin is currently meeting with Woodward in Bright. This is from someone physically in the building. FWIW.

There was a thread somewhere else stating that there was a 2pm Central meeting taking place with the staff.

We got pretty unlucky catching the Miss teams with their all-time greatest coaches. I think this will put us solidly in front of them for the foreseeable future.

So can we finally get the dirt you've been hinting at for 2 years when he is fired?

Noles 247 Site

The Jimbo Fisher-Texas A&M rumors are heating back up following a lull during Thanksgiving.

With Texas A&M expected to part ways with Kevin Sumlin as early as today, the Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Aggies are making Fisher a top priority.

Here’s what Noles247 feels confident in as of Sunday morning:

--Texas A&M has no legitimate backup plan if it doesn’t get Fisher. Those close to the program are confident that they’ll be able to put together a package that’ll entice Fisher to leave a place where he has significant job security and financial support.

--This means Texas A&M will be extremely aggressive in its pursuit of Fisher. Beyond a significant bump in pay from Fisher’s current annual salary of $5.5 million (figures have varied, but Fisher would likely be looking at about $2 million more per year, at least) is a deep budget (perhaps endless) to hire assistants and a commitment to consistently upgrading facilities.

--There’s no indication at FSU that Fisher is leaving.

--With that being said, there are some inside the program that would not be shocked if Fisher seriously considered Texas A&M given the package A&M will likely put together.

--FSU is committed to expanding its budget for assistants and will likely move forward with plans for a football-only facility. These are two key factors for Fisher, although it’s worth noting that these are commitments the university would make to the football program regardless of who its head coach is.

The Fisher-Texas A&M rumors are expected to persist and drag on throughout the week and possibly to the end of FSU’s regular season (Dec. 3) as Sumlin’s status with the Aggies becomes clear.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, that sentence right there is them giving up. "Perhaps endless", this is obviously impossible but the very fact that this is how Florida St. people view what we are throwing out tells you what they think about their chances to keep him.

This is what most concerns me. I have no idea if it’s true, but it feels as if it could be true. Woodward/BMAs have basically had two years to formulate some sort of plan, I hope they can execute it.

Aggie Chad is the backup plan, will be interesting if Ol Miss comes calling before Jimbo makes up his mind.

I doubt that, but the only reason you don't have a backup plan is that you know plan A is a lock.
