Nice! Got me laughing.
That shite with two different LSU fans starting threads citing home builders as their ultra big money source on all things A&M was hilarious.

Do yall remember when Gary Patterson lost the locker room in 2013 when he went 4-8 after going 7-6 the year before? He was just outmatched in the Big 12 and would never recover until he went 12-1 & 11-2. But then he lost the locker room again and went 6-7 only to regain it the very next year and he's sitting at 9-2 only BU left on the schedule.
Chris Peterson lost the shite out his locker room in 2015. They needed a bowl win over Southern Miss to just stay above .500. Again, somehow he regained it and made the playoff the very next year.
Just wanted to bump this for the people who keep saying Jimbo is apparently washed up because he had one bad season.

He'd be higher up the list if we were in any other conference, I don't think he'd far well in the SEC West.
I don't seriously want him, but if we're just kidding around, yeah, Leach would be funny.
Hell, at least we'd have an offensive IDENTITY. We haven't had an identity since Kliff left.

If he were having a good season, he wouldn't be in the discussion

Gary Patterson is a different story. That guy is coaching up a bunch of nothings at a school that recently moved up to the big leagues where maybe 20,000 people show up for games. They're the underdog. So sometimes he has bad seasons because he's just got jack shite for players. Everyone understands that about TCU. You can't really get to down on Gary for the stinker years because of the quality of the clay he's sculpting with. With him during the bad seasons it's not that he lost the locker room, it's just that they legitimately suck that year. When they do have good seasons it's because he found diamonds in the dirt and polished them up. Basically the inverse of Jimbo, who is coaching a team of 4 & 5* guys. Jimbo shouldn't have years this bad because his guys should be able to coast to 8 wins on pure talent advantage alone, something Patterson's squad of 2 & 3* could never do. As such, Jimbo had to have royally fricked up his locker room this year. A Jimbo losing season at FSU, the king of the ACC, is not the same as a Patterson losing season at TCU, stepchild of the "Big" 12.

I think you are underestimating TCU a bit there. I think its probably the 3rd best job in the Big 12 today. Now I know GP made it the job it is today, but he was having really bad down years from time to time even before he was in a league where there was a talent disparity.

Not sure if it’s been said today but Bruce Feldman is a doosh

He doesn’t think Looch is right. He KNOWS Looch is right. Jimbo is a lock. The LSU melt will be glorious.

Ohhhh i see. We can make excuses for other coaches. Got it.

Bruce Feldman is not objective when it comes to his friend Kevin Sumlin.
Posted on 11/22/17 at 10:13 pm to CGSC Lobotomy
Feldman trying to stir shite up to keep his national pundit career going. His podcast has become un-listenable, it's painfully obvious he is getting outdone by unpaid bloggers and being rendered obsolete. I'd be scared shitless if I had a national writer's resume right now.

DMN article
Current and former players want to complain about the inevitable, yet they failed to perform. Former students are paying the bills. Sumlin got a fair chance, but unfortunately it didn't work out.
As mentioned before, Bruce Feldman is stirring shite up for his butt buddy Sumlin. A six year coaching opportunity was more than fair.

I want Jimbo or whoever as much as anybody, but I don't disagree with the headline. It IS classless for players and coaches to find out about this from the Houston Chronicle.

But again, who officially leaked it? Rival Journalist? Dumb arse regent? Sumlin's agent? This has been discussed online for 2-3 weeks. Why is it that 3-4 different news outlets all decided to run the story on the same day?

That's asking a bit too much in today's world. Digital media has made it possible for rumors and gossip to spread like wildfire. A lot of major programs that have fired/lost their coach have gone through this exact same scenario were players (and sometimes coaches) learn about their future via text/tweets/Facebook. It's a brave New world old man .
As far as the players "finding out", nothing has been confirmed by the AD as far as we know. The players are only reacting to articles that offer no proof or reliability (remember the postseason or bust article about Billy Kennedy?).
To me, classless would be the AD officially firing Sumlin and informing the players AFTER he's released a press release/told the media.

Sometimes, journalists just copy each other's work.

Of course it has. But somebody (most likely on the BoR) leaked this to BZ unless he just made the whole thing up, which seems doubtful. Right? That's the guy I have a problem with, not the "digital media".
Posted on 11/23/17 at 2:58 am to finestfirst79
Woah, yall are looking too hard into the "leak gate." Anyone with a Texags subscription could've written that article by BZ. Looch took a shot at him on social media today for running with the story based off of his, Looch's, inside knowledge. No one leaked. The writing was on the wall and diptard, BZ, ran with it.

#1 rumor and most likely source for the leak is Sumlins agent
He has the most to gain
Why do we always assume it came from an Aggie?

Anyone with half a brain could have told you the writing was on the wall after MSU.
You shouldn't believe the "he said, she said" bullcrap. Liucci doesn't own the "sauces" market. His forte is recruiting and that's it. Liucci knows just as much as any other beat writter when it comes to staff+AD info.
