This comment was so true

The only coach that would be acceptable to our fan base is a 35 year old, who claims at least 3 races, has no connection to A&M but a ton of connections to Texas high schools, has won 2 national championships at a power 5 school, has only increased his per season win total, is both hated and loved by his players, is only leaving his current program because a tornado took out all their facilities, and is willing to accept a 3 year contract with no buyout

The is hands down the worst take I’ve seem on our search.

1. Patterson
2. Gundy
3. Chip Kelly
4 Fuentes
5. Matt Campbell
1-4 have already said no thanks Heard #5 has as well. So maybe Jimbo is #6 although there is reason to believe there 2,younger coaches ahead of him in the queue. A&M has circled back on two of top 4. Also heard we have began to D.J. tact agents so the ADM is hedging its bets. Thrasher feels had even though it is doubtful there is any truth at least by now to get be A&M offer rumors. FWIW, it appears that A&M significantly overestimated the interest that exists in the job. I guess A&M was reading its own press clippings about how great of a job it is from moronic pundits, I guess the SEC patch and nice facilities are no substitute for being tbe red headed step child in its home state. At this time these are still Sexton rumors. However, A&M may be forced to go to choice 6,7 or 8 and Jimbo has somewhat painted himself into a corner by showing his backside at every turn.

Yeah except he missed the part where we only want to pay on a per win basis. No guaranteed money AT ALL! Because we demand results or some BS.

So if Roger's statements about the buyout negotiations are true, Sumlin is putting on a show and knows what is happening. So which version is true?

Roger is a DFW Ag so his credibility is pretty solid

I'm certainly not saying that won't happen - I dunno for sure - but I don't think Looch is right.

So you don’t think it’s Jimbo or Petersen?

I didn't say that. I'm referring specifically to WCA's post about looch/Petersen.

What the hell would TNOLE27 know about A&M's coaching search or status?

I've never said he'd be terrible. I just want a real search. I'd just like for our administration to look at multiple coaches before they ink a guy to a deal that will be nearly impossible to get out of.

*Before people jump off the ledge, I know he's not a top candidate, this is purely for S&G's*

How far down the list is Leach for everyone? Entertainment value alone raises the bar a bit

He'd be higher up the list if we were in any other conference, I don't think he'd far well in the SEC West.

Agreed. I think we'd be the K-State/Iowa State that never made it over the hill, but ruined at least one power's season every year or two.
