Jimbo said he expects Ausbon back this week, which is good news for the offense. In the 4 games he missed, our WRs combined for 2 TDs and an amazing total of one game of 60+ yards.

I think we can say his time away was not a blessing, but really the entire WR group needs to step up. We had 3 60+ yard receivers and 2 TDs from the WR group in the Clemson game alone. Since then, in 7 games, the WRs had just 2 60+ yard games and 2 TD.

I was unrealistically hoping that Ausbon's absence would result in other WR stepping up...which clearly didn't happen.

our receivers just are what they are. they are all sophomores, ausbon is the only one that was highly recruited, and mond does them no favors.

its kinda crazy how quickly that group fell off a cliff

2017:

-Hezekiah Jones was a 4-star recruit with offers from Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon and t.u.

-Camron Buckley was offered by Auburn, Miami, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, t.u. and Washington

-Roshauud Paul was offered by Oklahoma and t.u.

2016:

-Quartney Davis was a 4-star recruit with offers from Ole Miss, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Michigan State, Oklahoma and Tennessee

-Kendrick Rogers was the ONLY one out of the current group who was not highly recruited
