Exactly. I honestly think Durkin is a better recruiter than Foster. Sumlin always hires top recruiter first, quality coach second, so it is at least reasonable to think he might have a preference.

Snyder also didn't work out and he wasn't Sumlin's first choice. This isn't a statement that Sumlin won't hire Foster if he can, it is just one that it isn't some crazy idea that Sumlin might prefer Durkin over Foster after meeting Durkin. Sumlin certainly likes the "up and comer" profile on the offensive side when you look at Kingsbury and Spav as Coordinators and the rest of the staff in general is younger and energetic.
If they get Chavis that's a whole other thing as well. There are pluses and minuses to each one. Inevitably it isn't even just about the splash, it's about who is going to make it work and honestly if Sumlin gets it wrong he is likely out of a job in a couple of years.

I'm sorry but you're still just blindly believing every word out of chin pubes' mouth. You have no idea who he prefers. I could just as easily say that Durkin is not his preference but is the only person he has talked to that wants the job and you have no way of disputing that. Billy has some of y'all eating straight out of his hand without even considering what he says might be 100% made up bullshite.

Occam's Razor is that Foster passed for whatever reason (he didn't like the HUNH, he didn't click with Sumlin, his family loves VA) and Liucci's sources would rather he just say "well, we totally could've had this sure thing but we want the risky young guy whose success is tied to Muschamp."

I got perma'd on a 7 year old premium sub account. Because I went around the "profanity filter" so That "Aggy" wouldn't be censored. Unbelievable they'd go that far over something that dumb and drive away a paying subscriber. frick them

I told them to take my email address out of their database when I was banned after pubes' infamous tantrum in 2012. Frankly I was shocked that my account was reinstated this fall when I never asked for it to be. Got banned once again for speaking the truth, that pubes is neither witty nor clever.

ETA: I also got permanently banned on the Old Rivalries secondary forum OtherSandbox.com where all the regulars have their circle jerk.

They take that profanity censor so damn serious.
For anyone that doesn't know, all you have to do is enter the forum code for italics or bold in between the letters of a word with nothing in between for it to pass the censor.
Example: ag{i}{/i}gy will appear as aggy

I've been called out numerous times in my career, sometimes publicly by lower ranking individuals. Each time, I've pulled the individual aside after the fact to talk about it as opposed to immediately responding to what in many cases is garbage. Sometimes on the spot corrections were required, but NEVER to "exert dominance" and never in front of their Soldiers or immediate supervisor.

I don't even understand why they consider "Aggy" to be on the level of profanity that needs to be filtered out. Have any of you ever met anyone who is offended by that in any way? shite, I had never even heard it until some time in the 2000s when I checked out a ShaggyBevo Microsoft paint thread.

All I am saying is what he is saying is plausible. It may or may not be correct but it is plausible. It is others here that are simply going out of their way to say it has to be a lie because it comes from Liucci. I know there is a lot of hatred for Looch her because he is sensitive and bans people, I just don't care. I am simply looking at the information he puts out as well as information from other sites and making a judgment. May be wrong, may be right.
Hate on Looch all you want but he does have legit sources on the football team and in the AD, far better than any other A&M site. Doesn't mean he knows what is going on with this search but in this case what he is stating makes sense.
Can't you guys go back to 247 or something and derail threads to bash Texags? I really don't know why you need to derail threads here doing so.

It's not unreasonable that someone would prefer Durkin over Foster because of recruiting skills as well as coaching versatility (after all Foster has never coached anywhere else). All I said was BL said Sumlin prefers one over the other, not that I agree or have evidence to prove this or otherwise.
