At the start of this year we all knew we were starting a new QB and devastated OL

We would have all bought 8-4 and been over the top happy if we’d known we’d beat Bama as a bonus. We can still hit 9-3 if we catch LSU on a bad day and with a bowl win get to 10 wins

Hard to not look at this season as a bust but in perspective it really hasn’t been. Our defense gave us reason to dream big but that’s not the season we are getting

And frick it I hate to lose to the Mississippi schools, I understand why that bugs LSU fans so much

Lane Kiffen is a beast. Turning Ole Miss around quickly.

Look, reading this board for the past couple of years I saw projections of a win/loss record that factored in automatic losses for Ole Miss, Miss State and Arkansas. You may remember that. The lesson is this SEC west is a tough, tough slog even when you beat Bama.

Will he be a problem (for us) wherever he goes?

Kiffin will be a problem where he goes. I have my ideas about where. He is learning how to coach, and will get better talent at next stop

Eh, I’d stake money Kiffin is like the Pirate. He can build a semi decent program, pull some upsets and have a threatening year every once in awhile, but I don’t think he turns into a yearly contender.

Half of his calls again us were dumb, constantly going for it on 4th down which he did in the Bama game as well. He’s just an “edgy” coach with a little flash. And he won’t be at ole miss long, he’s looking for a top tier school like USC again, but the reality is he’s probably better suited to the underdog upset pulling role of a smaller school.

I see Kiffin going to Washington when they inevitably fire Lake.

Edit: They fired him today.
