You think is Kyler goes to tu and goes 5-7 while A&M is winning 10 games you think people would be upset over not picking him? The sunshine pumpers would have moved on the second Looch said Stidham was better.

The part missing out of this analysis is the fact we were scared that Kyler was going to bring in some other top recruits to Texas with him. In such a situation Texas might have done better than 5-7, and Sumlin would have been toast anyway for losing a couple head-to-heads.

And that, apparently, was my 12 thousandth post on Tigerdroppings! Thank you, thank you, it's been a wonderful 8 years building up to this moment.

I'm not sure we win 10 games w/Stidham's mobility issues and our line the last few years.

I’ve always said that Sumlin was put in hard situation with those two, but there’s a reason he was paid 5 mil a year to manage difficult situations and build a program. And that’s the reason he’s gone.

Don’t forget when he left an obviously hurt Allen in to throw 15 incomplete passes or whatever it was. Allen might have been a spoiled brat who didn’t like competition but I wouldn’t want to play for a dude who left me in a game while hurt and threw me to the dogs either.

And the sentiment that we had to take Kryler is right on. Sumlin didn’t have an option to not recruit him, you can’t lose a legacy 5 Star QB to your in state rival. Texags would’ve found and burned his house down.

Not surprising but Manziel’s online troll game would rival his IRL one. Hot takes and random all caps

I found this interesting about Sumlin's new contract with Arizona.
quote:

Sumlin will receive 45 hours of private-jet time to use in recruiting.

So Sumlin won't have a swaggercopter in Arizona and his ability to travel to Texas and California will be very limited. I can't imagine him going to many HS football games like he did here. Recruiting will be hard and challenging for him.

I remember that offsides a few years later against Auburn that wasn't called to end the game .

It was 22. This game of course immediately following "Pick 6" giving Alabama 3 touchdowns.

at the end of the day he was straight fricked b/c Kyle always had one foot out the door and Sumlin was essentially required to recruit Kyler.

Obviously there were other issues but those two kids had a lot to do with his fall.

Agree.

I saw a show this weekend for the first time. It is called Cajun Justice. Follows around a louisiana parish sheriff dept cops style. It is hysterical. definitely how I imagine most of the LSU posters

LSU fans are now melting because they believe Herman is going to lead tu to the promised land due to his 3rd ranked class and they are stuck with coach O

It’s like none of them saw how shitty Herman was as a coach this year

They're realizing how fricked they are.
