Whatever chickenesque wanna be is next to the chicken
Mad Hatters
Basil Whippits
Gatsbys
Sake Bar (dont know the actual name)
Corner bar
Hookah Station

Social
Logans (Refuse to call it Logies)

Chimys

Only been there once for a Yell practice. Usually too disconnected from the rest of NG I suppose.

quote:

Shotzis
Zappatos

Never heard of these two.

quote:

Daisy Dukes (Now 521 or whatever)

Always surprised at how slow it is. I always thought it was a really cool layout, maybe it's size makes it seem so unbusy.

quote:

Obannons

Have a card, never fill it out.

quote:

Backyard

Sweet tea vodka? .

quote:

Dry Bean

Glad I'm not fat.

quote:

The Chicken

Always makes me hungry, and I'm just not a very country person.

quote:

Whatever chickenesque wanna be is next to the chicken

Dudley's Draw. Not bad considering it's generally pretty slow. Always feel dirty. I go there when I'm just in need of a beer or two and need to get out of the apartment.

quote:

Mad Hatters

Longest, bathroom lines, ever.

quote:

Basil Whippits

The place to be at 1:30 for those of us that are ready to drink until we pass out. Always feels trashy as hell.... go there almost every time. Talked to plenty of girls, danced with them, even a kiss or two, never get them to come home. :l

quote:

Corner bar

One of my favorites. Nice and relaxed. Solid view on the top floor.

quote:

Gatsbys
Hookah Station
Foundation Room
Social

Not a fan of the "club" type places. Just a personal preference.
quote:

Logans (Refuse to call it Logies)

Always feel like I'm permanently in a bathroom there. Probably the biggest fire hazard I've ever a part of when it gets crowded. Go there often enough though, a lot of Bush students tend to frequent that one.

quote:

Rebels

Another one of my favorites. Half off before 11, I go to town on rum and cokes for under $2.

Dukes got a bad name by some of the sketchy people that started to inhabit it, never recovered. We started there most Thursdays for dollar wells.

I like chimys, but agree its too far out. Great margaritas though.

Not a fan of Basils, I try to avoid all the club type places like the plague, but I can't always escape.

Cedar Lane is by far my favorite, followed by Logans. Logans would probably be #1 if it wasn't so crowded.

I'm old but back in the day The Chicken, Dudlies, Harry's and The Hall were where we went after starting out at Carneys.

Chimys

After my time. Every I go back and walk by it looks packed.

Shotzis

Its the first bar after Chimys. Not my kind of spot.

Ranch (Now closed, dunno who bought it)

Duno WTF that is

quote:

Zappatos

Mexican joint with live music by Schotzis right? I used to frequent the shot bar next to it, barbershots. Its something else now, but their shot special was how we stared a lot of our nights.

quote:

Daisy Dukes (Now 521 or whatever)

Only went a few times, wasn't for me.

quote:

Obannons

Best beer bar on NG and it isn;t close. I should have went there more.

quote:

Whatever bar is in between obannons and Turtle

Padlock right? The fish bowl there is end you.

quote:

Tipsy Turtle

Terrible frozen drink place. No thanks.

quote:

Backyard

Formally Fritzwillys. Solid place to eat at too.

quote:

Shot Bar

???

quote:

Dry Bean

Another decent shot bar. Don't get the bonfire shot. It sucks.

quote:

The Chicken

Wasn't a spot I liked to go at night because it was packed.

quote:

Whatever chickenesque wanna be is next to the chicken

Duckleys Draw. This is where we went to chill for a minute bar hotting. Their plinko shot game was fun. I wouldn't drink the pickle shot though.

quote:

Mad Hatters

Solid. Saw a great fight there one night.

quote:

Basil Whippits

Underrated spot. Their upstairs was always dead late we when we had a big group we'd take it over.

quote:

Gatsbys

Only went there before I was 21. Clubs aren't for me.

quote:

Sake Bar (dont know the actual name)

Fun little spot.

quote:

Corner bar

I was there the first night the opened up the roof in the summer. Solid bar. Usually a good crowd too.

quote:

Hookah Station
Foundation Room
Social

Nope nope nope

quote:

Logans (Refuse to call it Logies)

This was one of usual spots. Big beers. Good talent. Popcorn. Decent enough outdoor area. Another spot where there was a good fight. Saw some guys run from the cops out there too.

quote:

Rebels

Never made it out there for some reason.
quote:

Cedar Lane/The Palms (technically two, but same owner and building)

It was alright. Didn't leave an impression on me.

quote:

And I''ll add Blackwater brew.

Solid brews and good beer on tap. Food wasn't anything special, and I've only been during the day. Way better than the crap mexican join it was when I was there.

Best bars on ng IMO:

Logan's
The corner
Cedar Lane

The backyard is alright. The ranch was good when it first opened, now it's closed. Chimy's is good for margaritas every so often.

My goal if I ever become wealthy is to open a balcony style restuarant/bar across from Kyle Field next to that Shell gas station. Think a restaurant there would do extremely well

I used to go to teen night at The Hall, as a fourteen year old, and smoke cigarettes and grind to the hits from 2pac.
