I was always going to be surprised if he actually ended up at a&m. Also, I don't know how good he is, or how good his team is compared to who they play. That isn't to say he's not good, he may be great...I just don't know much about him.

I have officially given up being excited about highly rated QB recruits. Our best two the last ten years were three stars.
I mean I like the kid and I hope he sticks with us, but I think we all got burned trying to hang expectations on QB recruits.

Handed out a few offers. Toneil Carter showed up again, which is pretty big. We also picked up a 2018 commit, but that should be in the other thread.

I have a feeling that if this class doesn't start to piece together the way Tate wants it to then he'll really start weighing other options. Swaying Tyjon to join or having a big name like Toneil commit would go a long ways in keeping him committed to this class. I get the sense he wants to win big and not having at least 1 more star offensive commit will hurt. Although we can sell the fact that his freshman year he'll have the chance to throw to the best wr in the nation in Christian Kirk. By that time I expect Kirk will be in that discussion
