The same thing we've been doing for years.
Matt Mauck was older than Chambliss when LSU won it all in 2003.
Chris Weinke was 29 when he beat Va Tech for the 1999 national title.

Totally different didn’t those guys get drafted mlb out of highschool and drop out of mlb minors but went back to college football where they’re were previous #1 hs recruits?

It doesn't even have to be that extreme.
Any true freshman was in middle school compared to a redshirt senior.

Chambliss would not have been a first round pick last year. He would have certainly left if he thought that.

That's not different. If you want to say he shouldn't get his Juco years excluded, that's different.

Maul was 24 in 2003. By ole miss math and 6year of college football with violation of ncaa tro then Mauck should have been clear to play till 2005 at age 26.
And Chris weinke first game as a freshman was at 25years old 1997, then with 6 years to play college ball as a QB he should have been ok to play til he was 31 years old in 2002.
Unless the above happened then this is a ridiculous comparison

At least I thought that was what everyone was talking about being in college for 6years actually playing the position and sport

Down for it is Chambliss's 6th year. His age is irrelevant.
