How much money can a family spend? Isn't he already at $8. What difference would it make if it was $10 or $11? Apparently, has his dream job. I could be wrong but I can't see him leaving as Kentucky would likely match any offer, especially if the 11-1 is a reality. Nice problem to have if you are Stein.

I'll take things I pulled out of my arse for $100, Alex.

Trolling requires a modicum of intellect and creativity. You clearly have neither. Just posting some dumb shite doesn't make you clever.

I don't think it would be easy to turn down, but I think Kentucky will give him a substantial pay raise and additional resources to keep him there, at least for another year.

It won't be salary that draws him. It'll be NIL if anything.

He'll stay at Kentucky until, if and when, it becomes apparent that he's taken them as far as they can go because of NIL. And nobody knows what that level is.

We know Cignetti at Bloomington has done more with less NIL than anyone at College Station or Austin. So NIL is not the ONLY limiting factor. But it is a factor.

Until that factor becomes the main thing holding Stein back ? He stays at Kentucky.

You need to worry about how Sark pissed away a Manning

In fairness to Sark, that particular Manning was never really that good to begin with. He just had the last name.

As someone who watched him in high school, I think he is at his ceiling and Sark got the most you were going to get out of him.

Going to coach football at aggy is what coaches do when they're pushing 60 and working on their retirement plan.

Sign impressive $$$ contract,
Coach ok for two years,
Coach's agent earns his 10% spreading rumors,
Coach receives contract raise and extension,
Coach coasts and/or fails until,........
Obtain the buyout clause/golden parachute courtesy of aggy 12th Man.

You don't think Kentucky would give him a salary that would provide generational wealth?

What I heard, was that Kentucky promised to name a campus street after CWS. The dedication will be a gala with champagne and grand piano music.

They'll call it Stein Way !

This would make more sense if you didn’t see what we were paying Stoops who topped out at 10 wins.

That being the case, why on God's green earth would he leave Lexington for College Station? There's more to live than the almighty dollar.

He'll stay at KY for the same reasons Stoops did.

Good job, great pay, low pressure

Strong was easy. In the pre-NIL era, he'd taken Louisville as far as he could go. He'd hit the top limit on what players he could bring to Louisville. In today's era ? He stays.

And Strong is a cautionary tale. He backed out of the Tennessee job. Biggest mistake of his career. I think he wins SEC titles at Tennessee.

Saban could have tamed that beast in Austin in his prime. But nobody today. Hell, Mac Brown couldn't. An outstanding coach and manager in his day.
