This is a silly semantics argument, the athletic department has a budget of X dollars and it doesn't matter if it's coming from you or me or Shaq. If you're spending $13M on a coach, you will have fewer total dollars to spend than the school spending $3-4M. Duhhh
Thats why there's a risk either way, proven coaches cost more

The last Ole Miss coach we hired only won 3 SEC games. Over a three year period.
