They can shift. They just can’t jump into the neutral zone to try to cause a false start.

Glenn Ellerbe doesn't know how to coach an OLine that doesn't jump when the DLine shifts. Kirby ate us absolutely alive doing it a few years ago. We have many weaknesses but it's our Achilles heel

Well no matter how far it went in it wouldn’t actually hit anything precluding battery and assuming 100% accuracy through the ear hole.
