Maybe UGA will get a good payoff from Evans like we did Pickens. Sometimes these guys turn it around but right now there is no end of idiocy in sight for Zach.

This guy's recruitment has been a unifying experience wherein every fanbase has concluded that their other RB recruits and/or their current FR/SO RBs are actually so good that Evans would just ruin the present comradery. Wholesome.

I didn't read the whole thread, but I would think a recruit could get out of LOI if they have proof of cheating and threaten with it. Just saying.

A friend posted this elsewhere-

here's my thinking:

1. Didn't get what he needed (grades/ACT score) to enroll early.

2. Got frustrated

3. Asked out of LOI to either try and EE somewhere else or asked out of LOI because he is a frustrated teenager that felt like he was being "done wrong" somehow.

4. Will talk to or has talked to Kirby, Dell, and Jonas and figures out there's nothing anyone can do.

5. Already made an announcement that he was enrolling early and is now embarrassed because he can't.

6. Doesn't want to make anymore announcements until he is sure everything is 100% good to go.

What he posted is true though. Not necessarily a shot at UGA but you can bet if a kid threatened to make some calls , with proof, the school would cater to whatever they ask.

Floyd Dawgs post makes as much sense as any.

Just because Evans doesn't qualify for EE doesn't make his LOI void. He has until fall classes start to get in. UGA would be bound regardless.
UGA can release him from his LOI voluntarily with no penalty. If they release him he wouldn't count as one of 25. It's why if he asks and holds to it, they will release him. Bad pub and they're penalized with one of those valuable 25 spots on a player that never suits up for them. Would be bad for UGA either way. I'd just release him if he holds to wanting out.

According to Mansell and Adams he started this 24 hours after signing. While it doesn't mean it's not grades, it seems like buyer's remorse to me.

I guess we will all find out eventually (maybe), but to insinuate that UGA did anything wrong during his recruitment with absolutely zero evidence is bullshite.

This is fun speculation that clearly seems intended to be a troll... but let's unravel this thread a bit further anyways for giggles.

1) Proof of cheating would be pretty difficult to produce given how things generally go these days... otherwise more programs would be getting brought down

2) Any athlete who wanted to try this approach would likely be signing their own ineligibility case fate at the same time...

I imagine a lot of other things would happen before any athlete would pursue this course of action - even in the event that it was a viable route for them to take.

Just to clarify they can only release him if he request it.

... given that 15 Starters or so didn't play seems like we should have plenty of budget remaining. Maybe we'll go buy another player or two.
