Lol you just missed on miller and Martin in state
This is half right. Missed on Miller, who they wanted, but I'm not sure they missed on Martin. he never felt like a priority for this staff. They may ultimately regret that, but he just didn't seem like as high of a priority as his in-state ranking would indicate he should be.

I know Alabama fans don't believe its possible but the fall has to start at some point. I think it starts this year in the College Football Playoffs when Kirby and UGA beat Saban and Alabama for the national championship. And then I think recruiting at Alabama takes a slight downturn.
The 10 year run of unprecedented dominance will end soon.

Martin became a priority for ya'll after Zamir White committed to UGA. He was a guy you would have taken at the time

Martin was a miss, Bama wanted him. He is a better RB then Ford who Bama signed.
Bama might have wanted Miller at the time, but doesn't look like a miss with the players Bama has signed or will sign at DL.

History will show that the flip of Rueben Foster to Auburn will go down as the single-most important event in changing the perception of the little/big brother roles in college football in the state of Alabama. Mainly because of what this manchild beast will do inside Jordan-Hare Stadium and the publicity that has surrounded the flip (press conference, tattoo, etc.). Not to mention the laundry list of fellow defensive recruits that are salivating at a chance to play with this wrecking ball on the field. This guy's magnetism and mentality are no different that Cam's. Both are once in a generation players and we'll have had them in Orange in Blue in a span of four years. I've never seen a time in which truly informed Alabama fans, not the toothleess Wal-Mart Muldykes, have been in such anxiety and agony over the direction of the Auburn Football program. I love every second of it, and they see what's happening and can't do anything about it. When you treat your players as family members and they play for you out of respect and admiration, things like 28-27 happen. When you have players that fear their coach, see rampant gray-shirting, bogus medical departures and wonder if they will have their scholarship the following year, things like a 24-0 complete meltdown implosion against your hated rival happen. It all starts at the top and CGC will go down as a legendary coach in college football history, not just Auburn history, Book It. I tell all of the Bammers without hesitation that CGC will win more national championships at Auburn than Satan will at UTea. If you hook me up to a polygraph while saying it, I would pass because that's how much I believe it to be true. The perception of Auburn Football in-state and on a national level is changing. September 1st is about to open the country's eyes as to what tenacious Auburn football is all about, and I can't wait to watch the look on little dabo's face. These are great times to be an Auburn Tiger. A dynasty is in the making, and if you don't see it, you don't have a clue. War Damn Chizik and War Damn Eagle.

Wow, that post reminds me of some stuff I've seen from UGA fans about Kirby lately. Hopefully they look just as foolish 5-10 years from now.
The way Saban has outlasted every threat and slowly crushed them all to death from Urban, to Miles, to Fulmer, to Richt, Petrino, Chizik, etc, etc, etc. It's really amazing. Not sure he'll coach long enough to snuff Kirby, Pruitt, Fisher, etc out, but I bet he gets close on some of them.

It was from 247.
There also used to be an awesome Auburn post, that was like a cheesy remake of the Grinch stole Christmas. From around that time.

I think UA will end up about #4 or 5 so still pretty good though not what we're used to with Saban. He replaced some coaches with better recruiters so I expect next year will be better. I just hope those better recruiters are good coaches on the field too.

That guy had no clue but he made one of the most legendary post in message board history.

You just got to love it when posters on here say, "Book it." You can automatically discount it, because I have never seen anybody say "Book it." and it was right.

to Fulmer
Dude. Fulmer was at Tennessee for two years while Saban was at Alabama. One of those years Saban was 6-6. Pretty sure you showed us your keen insight is in need of a tuneup.
Chizik coached against Saban for 4 years and one of those years he (Chizik) won a National Championship. Chizik beat Chizik after that, not Saban.
Petrino? Dude. We all know Petrino couldn't keep his pants zipped up and that is what did him in.
I know you want to give Saban all the credit for everything, but be a little more realistic with your hyperbole. Saban doesn't need anybody to exaggerate what he has done.

Foolishness. Funny you didn't address Urban. The fake heart-attack after the SECCG in 2009 is legendary stuff. Another beatdown or two by Saban and he was done.
Fulmer had UT in the SECCG in 2007. Saban's 6-6 team you mentioned throttled that UT team. Another skull-dragging in 2008 and the UT admin knew Saban had blown past Fulmer and he was fired. Saban's dominance absolutely played a part in that.
Chizik got one lucky year when his boosters bought him a generational QB. And barely beat Bama at that. The other 3 years Saban smashed his face in, and he was fired.
Miles was a legend in Red Stick until Saban ran off about 6 in a row on him. Funny you didn't mention him either.
Sure, Petrino was fired for his affair and crash...but his AD expected him to compete with Saban and win the West some years. Saban shut him out, which made the decision after the wreck an easy one.
We won't even get into Richt, the 2008 beatdown, the 2015 beatdown, the 2012 heartbreaker, etc. Enjoy Kirby...hopefully 26-23 doesn't define his career at UGA like the 2012 game did for Richt. Close, but no cigar.

Saban was 2-0 against Fulmer at Bama. And Bama was 7-6 that year. I was actually at the game when they announced before the game that 5 of our starters were suspended... start of the bookgate mess. Bama still beat Tennessee/Fulmer 41-17.
Saban was 3-1 against Chizik at Bama. The only time Chizik/Auburn beat Bama was the year of Cam Newton. His last loss to Bama was 49-0.
Saban was also 3-1 against Richt. Saban's 1st & only loss his first year, 07. The 3 wins were all against Georgia in Sanford Stadium and Atlanta.
Saban was 4-0 against Petrino. The last 2 of his seasons at Ark, he went 10-3 & 11-2 & still didn't beat Bama. Don't care if he was porking his assistant. If he had been beating Saban/Bama, he would not have been fired.
Saban went 1-1 against Tuberville. His last loss to Bama was 36-0.
Saban went 7-3 against Miles. They were pretty close 2007-11, with LSU record 3-2 against Bama.... then came the BCS Championship game which put the series at 3-3. Bama never looked back and has won every game against LSU since; reeling off 5 wins in a row against the Miles lead LSU.
Saban was 3-2 against Freeze. Even if they were cheating, they beat Bama 2 years.
Saban was 5-1 against Sumlin. Bama's only loss 2012, Johnny Football.
Saban was 9-0 against Mullen. Worse loss for Miss. St. 2014. Undefeated Miss. St. ranked #1 was beaten by #5 Bama.

Correct. Freeze is the only coach that really went toe to toe with Saban and of course we learned later that's because his program was filthy dirty. Even then he still had a losing record against Saban.

Bama won in 12, 13 and 16.
Ole Miss won in 14 and 15.
