Its funny because its going to start happening in college to. Especially when they allow the kids to start making money. Its an entitled world now - we as parents - the 40-60 range raised a bunch of entitled idiots and it's only getting worse.

Sounds like Texas asked him to.

He's also in a tough major so this gives him time to get AP classes done and maybe be an early enrollee.

If I have an elite recruit like this and I know he will keep himself him shape I'd say this is a no brainer.

LOL, yeah the kid has a scholarship to texas for football and engineering, what a lazy pos he must be.

get a hold of yourself lmao.

That is not the line from most any Texas discussion I have seen.

Most of the Horns have heard he had a blow up with his coaches and quit. They have also noted that the kid has suffered several pretty bad knee injuries in junior high and has been told by his doctor that a third would be career ending. He doesn't want to take the risk of high school ball.

Most people in that age range like to blame the kids yet the adults dont realize they are the ones who allowed it. Glad you realize it. The kids weren't the ones ordering all the participation trophies and ribbons for their competitions, it was the adults.

Kids are in most cases a reflection of their parents. The helicopter parents of our generation ruined these fkign kids. They are spoiled beyond recognition and they're being parented with ipads. Sad

Latest chatter is that the Texas coaching staff was blindsided by this and doesn't view it favorably.

The fact that he’s worried about playing high schoolers doesn’t bode well for his mentality against tougher college competition. Top D1 prospects should be licking their chops to take on high schoolers. . . Probably explains why he chose a LITTLE12

He'll never play a full season.

Would you trust this kid to sell out on 3rd and 2?

For any other position, this is dumb. But I can see why a running back would. Didn't Travelin' Tate Martel go to Bishop Gorman?

Sounds like the kid is regretting his decision, but the team isn't too thrilled about letting him come back. It will be interesting to watch - he's obviously smart enough to get into engineering if he just decides to up and quit football all together

Looks like the team voted to not allow him back. Ouch.

Ouch.

Looks like a smart kid.

However I feel strongly a year away from football isn't going to help his development whatsoever and puts him behind coming into the Texas program. NO THANK YOU SON BUT GOOD LUCK!
