Yes, generally pretty low right now.... Georgia is ok and they have a ton of really high ranked recruit leanings. Don't think anyone can possibly touch Ohio State though if they're projected 7-8 recruits commit. They are at 95.50 now with the the final 7-8 being graded at close to a 98 composite average.

VOLS current class at this very moment if they do not cull any slaw or add anymore croots would finish 11th in last year’s rankings
I would wager at least 5 lower ranked current commits with be encouraged to look elsewhere and maybe as many as 8 imo

Yea - as a coach, if you would keep 10-12 of your class no matter what, it's not a bad strategy. Especially if you've made it clear to kids that recruiting is fluid and and all that.

Agreed. Plus Tennessee is still very much in play with a number of very good to elite recruits, and Pruitt has done a very good job of closing down the stretch in his two full classes after getting embarrassed in his first partial class.
There will probably be a couple of guys added that aren’t even on the radar right now imo. Pruitt has pulled some elite guys late in the game that Tennessee wasn’t even mentioned for at this stage in the process. Like To’oto’o, Crouch, Wideman, Morven Joeseph etc

Tennessee likely takes 27-28 in this class and are sitting at 24 right now. Likely they finish up with a top 7 type class assuming no camps and very limited evaluations from the services.

A&M’s was 95+ but the 247 dropped it significantly.

I bet Tennessee gets 10-12 more commitments. They are likely going to sign like 28 and there will be 5-8 told to git and probably a few jump ship.

AU, UA, UGA and LSU going after quality over quantity.

Interesting strategy. May blow up in their faces if they struggle on the field with an 8-4 or 7-5.

VOLS have beaten out AU for a number of these recent commitments IIRC

How many are they expecting to sign? I know the 25 number is never the high water limit but they signed 23 last year so does this mean they are capped at 27?

28 is the number being tossed around

Pruitt's strategy make me recall Miami's old strategy where they dominated early recruiting with tons of lower ranked commits and a couple of high ones, then they would fall outside of the top 10 as signing day approached.

I like how we are still using recruiting service generated rankings that are a year out of date on guys that likely will not be evaluated again. Maybe mid fall there will be enough game film for some to do relevant evaluations on.

I like how you are trying to convince yourself all those 3-stars are really 4-stars.

Those recruiting ranking are still heads and tails above what any of us couch potatoes have to say.... it wonder what you would say if you were getting a number of them... no need to answer, i know the answer...it's human nature.

5*s the 4* guys are 7* and the 5*s are 10 stars
Actually I’m just mocking the absolute faith people are putting in outdated obsolete rankings and panting at so called rerankings based on nothing.
