Just like Tua ended up at LSU.

Both situations seem pretty unrelated, and nobody thought Tua was ever coming here, so not sure if you need to jog your memory better there. That was a hail mary offer last year and we all knew it.

The little bro thing has a lot of things going on YOUR side of things which is what's interesting. His visits to other schools, Bama offering another QB, etc...

I said on the RB I think the Tag's are shopping him in case for some reason they think Tua stays senior year, so it's a fluid situation.

Why do LSU fans keep doing this to their selfs.. it’s like a car wreck in slow motion

I think most LSU fans are pretty reasonable about this. The kid ain't going to LSU. But if I'm Saban, I keep pulling the same trick on Orgeron every year until he stops falling for it.

He went to a QB camp at Tennessee. Left early to come back to Tuscaloosa to help recruit. People are way over thinking this.

I was wondering what the commotion in this thread was about. Escalation of epic proportions.

How so?

No LSU fan thinks he's coming

This thread was like 7 posts 10 days ago (weeks after the commitment) and now it's 4 pages of rabid Vol/Bammer uppercuts.

LSU fans didn’t blow this thread up. Tennessee fans did.

Our mods just confirmed he took a "Secret visit" to LSU this spring as well (he later did tell Alabama coaches). He's definitely still shopping.

On 247 Garcia this morning put out something that said Alabama was expecting him to announce he was done with recruiting and not taking anymore visits but he is not doing that supposedly which is what Alabama is worried about hence the new offer out. IMO, both sides are just trying to cover their bases. It would still shock me if he decommitted right now, but again, things seem pretty fluid there and dependent on how Tua shakes out at Bama this season.

The only way little Tua doesn't sign with Bama is if Jalen beats his bro out this fall--which I find highly unlikely. More than anything this new offer is a message to little Tua. You shop, we shop...be careful, young man.

For what it's worth, I have a good friend who coaches at Thompson High School (where Taulia goes) and he told me from the beginning that Taulia does not want to go the same school as Tua. He was shocked when he committed to Alabama and that he felt like it wouldn't stick. Taulia even went to a different high school in Hawaii than Tua so he didn't have to sit behind him and so he could make his own path instead of following behind Tua” Apparently he will be in Knox tonight after he camps at Auburn. Hmmm the plot thickens. I think he ends up a VOL.

Taulia is 100% going to Bama, and he has absolutely no say in the matter.

Bama paid the parents handsomely for the guaranteed signatures of both sons over a year and a half ago.

There are Bama posters on this very forum (cough, remaster, cough) who know exactly how much their family was paid.

It’s the Kouandjio situation all over again.

And if he doesn't what recourse does Bama have, call the NCAA and complain?

That's like a crackhead calling the cops to say he was sold fake crack.

It's mind boggling that people think the only reason anybody would sign with Bama is because they're paid. Every other school has a better pitch than "Come play for the greatest coach of all time, be in the playoffs every season, and go to the NFL"... right?

If Bama is the only team paying these kids, they'd win every game by 80 because they'd just sign everybody.

Taulia took a visit to LSU over a weekend last month, something that was kept pretty hush hush. It was just him and LSU staff.

LSU took a QB. Must not have heard what they wanted.

Means nothing. The coaches saw that Parish was improving and getting more attention. They offered and he committed on the spot. They are happy to have a commit at this point but will definitely take another QB if an elite one wants in this class.

So why would he flip to LSU? Can't use the don't have another one committed angle. He's not going against a top QB commit at Bama. He's higher than Tyson. Bro will already be a junior.

With Parrish on board now, I imagine this changes things. And I'm sure the Tagovailoa family wasn't ready to pull the trigger, which is understandable. LSU did what was best for them vice versa.

I don't know if he would or not. I was replying to the previous comment.

The Parish commitment does not mean that LSU heard anything one way or another on Tua or any other QB, because they would take another one if he is elite.
