Taulia Tagovailoa, the brother of Tua Tagovailoa, committed to Alabama on Saturday.
The four-star quarterback prospect and member of the 2019 recruiting class announced the decision at Alabama's A-Day spring game.
Tagovailoa, a 5-foot-11, 203-pound pro-style passer who plays at Thompson High School in Alabaster, had 13 offers, according to 247Sports. Among the schools that tendered him a scholarship were Tennessee, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska and Lane Kiffin's Florida Atlantic program.
"He and Tua are so very similar in the many ways you can see just watching them play," Thompson head coach Mark Freeman told AL.com. "You see a lot of Tua in Taulia because of how they both play, the throws and decisions they make. I don't know how anyone in the state could have done more for their team did Taulia did for us this year. He came in here and acted like he'd been here his whole life. The kids accepted him right away, and that is why we were so successful."

Nana's team is taking on a Polynesian flavor. I'm all for it.

So when he sits behind his brother for two years or beats his brother out of the job, does their dad go Jalen Hurts and threaten one of his sons transfers? Talk about a paternal quandary.

Any other zingers you have for Bama commits? Can’t wait for the future ones.

This is the epitome of salty.

“For what it's worth, I have a good friend who coaches at Thompson High School (where Taulia goes) and he told me from the beginning that Taulia does not want to go the same school as Tua. He was shocked when he committed to Alabama and that he felt like it wouldn't stick. Taulia even went to a different high school in Hawaii than Tua so he didn't have to sit behind him and so he could make his own path instead of following behind Tua”
Apparently he will be in Knox tonight after he camps at Auburn. Hmmm the plot thickens. I think he ends up a VOL.

Cool story if he ends up a Vol though and they get a game against one another

It appears young Tagovailoa is the super secret blue chip QB that Germy has been all over

So where do the Vols turn for the 2019 class at quarterback? Well,
Tennessee’s secret white whale is set to visit again this weekend.
The 4-star Alabama quarterback commit Taulia Tagovailoa is in Knoxville tonight making his second visit with the Vols this year. Tennessee has quietly maintained a steady and consistent approach recruiting Tagovailoa — before and after he committed to the Tide. Tagovailoa also has a relationship with several Tennessee commits he met on his initial visit earlier this spring. The path to the field at Tennessee is obviously much, much quicker than compared to Alabama. Taulia is very close to his brother Tau, but there’s questions as to whether he and is family want him in that shadow in Tuscaloosa.

Yes, he's the quarterback I've been hinting about for the last month or so.
Tennessee has quietly continued to recruit Taulia Tagovailoa hard, even after he committed to Alabama. The feedback has been positive, too. The family likes UT's staff and obviously the path to the field is much clearer with the Vols. Taulia has also been in communication with various UT commits.
As has been reported elsewhere, Tagovailoa is set to return to Knoxville tonight. Alabama is trying to get him back on campus this weekend. Will plans change now that everything has been made public? We'll see what all unfolds over the next 24 hours.

You didn’t break shite. He’s stated all along he’s taking officials to Tennessee and LSU.
Are you going to drool some more over him?
Come over to the Alabama board and troll some more?
And FWIW, I didn’t make one response to your posts yesterday. Not one. So stop making more shite up.

Such an angry little vol. I guess 20 years of ineptitude will do that.
