Frazier and Manuel. Though Manuel looks like he feel further than I realized as well. At 251st nationally now. We are worried about him qualifying as well though.
I probably dont consider either a high 4 star. But that's me. Everyone can have their own opinion.
If you have any quality on your roster currently, a low/mid 4 star usually doesnt contribute until they are an upper-classman.
Still... Henderson and Shorter are a big talent infusion at the position and can make an immediate impact on Saturdays.

You don't have to be on here much, just pick any Florida thread and Georgia fans are in there mucking it up. It is the usual suspects though, not all the UGa fans, just a few of them that should be banned from the recruiting board.

Hell, I wouldn't worried about that guy being 251st Nationally. With his ranking, he still would have been ranked AHEAD of Justin Jefferson coming out of high school. LOL. So much for the experts. Jefferson was NOT ranked Nationally and 310th WR coming out of high school.

Jefferson says he was moving on up.

Shorter was a top ten overall player. Obviously talent is there. He may just need someone to get him focused. Change of venue can do that.
Seems like he was overrated at this point. Not sure which UGA fan said UF needs more 5*'s. UF getting rid of Grantham for a good DC would be worth more than any 5*.

And they brought in Grimes last offseason from OSU.
Does he have 2 more years Gators?

I think he has 3 to play 2.

Looks like Grimes has 1 more year in Gainesville (played 2017 for Buckeyes and 2018/2019 for gators).
Same as the 2017 recruiting class.
Only reason he could have more would be a medical redshirt. And you dont file for that until you need to take it (2021 potentially). He missed the last 10 games in 2017. Was that an injury?

That's the word out of Penn State
Posted on 1/6/20 at 7:38 pm to Gatorbait2008
UGA fans and UF recruiting threads are like moths to a flame these days, jeeze
Like we're replacing a bunch of different WRs this year and this guy's worth a shot even if he's underachieved

But why couldn't he do shite at Penn st.
It's not like they had all these great receivers
Florida has been a sleeping giant just like lsu
Florida can get talent easier

Will he be immediately eligible or will he apply for a waiver?

He'll have to apply but we doubt he plays this season

And here is the key.
This is the recruiting board. If people want to troll, go to the Rant. You can run wild.
The recruiting board is supposed to be troll free.
ALL of us should fight to keep one place where we can go without fighting through all the trolls.
Yes, almost every Georgia thread has been inundated with trolls against us, but very few from the Florida fan base. It is mostly coming from some of the LSU fans.

If Manuel hadn't been downgraded for academic/character concerns, he would be a top 10 overall prospect in the composite. Recruiting services have to downgrade those players so they don't look stupid as hell for having half their top 20 be washed-up or washed-out within 2 years, but for pure talent, Manuel is one of the 4 or 5 best receicers in the country this cycle.
Fraziers seemed to have a very good week at the UA game, not sure how high they'll be willing to bump him though.

Good points.
And the grades on these kids arent final yet.
I did a pretty extensive background check on UGA recruiting and I came away seeing 0.9400 as a fairly significant marker. Above it is a high 4 in my opinion. Below it isnt. Below 0.9200 is a low 4 in my opinion.
Above .9400, it was a 50/50 shot that the recruit would be a great player (great enough to get votes for all conference).
.9200 to .9400 dropped to about a 25% chance. Getting lower than that was closer to 10%. The 3 stars didnt have much of a difference from the low 4 stars in terms of percentages (often players are graded 3 stars for not going to camps, not playing toughest classification in high school, etc..). The net result was still about a 10% hit rate for an all conference contender whether it was a low 4 or average 3 star.
Keep in mind that the 50/50 percentage on 0.9400+ takes into account players who leave the school and didnt contribute to our team (fields, Cox, and Ford are 3 highly rated recruits who are noncontributors from our great 2018 class). They still might be great players (future nfl). Just not for our team.
Henderson and Shorter are huge wins for the receiver room at UF.

George Pickens had academic concerns and was still a 5*. Maybe Manuel just fell in the rankings.

Sometimes, the dips are correct. Sometimes, they arent.
Xavier Truss went from 0.9400+ down to 0.900+. Several beat writers thought he might start at left tackle in the Sugar bowl as a true freshman (keeping Mays on the interior).
