DB commit Deshawn Capers-Smith ran that time today at the Nike Camp.
That is Coach Joseph for you. You can have him.

Geez the recruiting board is a cesspool today.

You would kill for our defensive recruiting class.
Enjoy sub-30 classes in the Big 0 conference. Oh and thanks for picking that Big 12 lock, sorry it didn't help y'all like it helped us.
But hey you are now playing Minnesota fairly regularly so you can get an one-on-one training lesson on how to accept being a former college football power.

No Big 12 fights on the SEC recruiting board.

Wait, I thought you were against trolling on the recruiting board?
ETA: your post from yesterday:
Oh, and thanks, but we didn't need permission. Joseph couldn't wait to make the move.

I don't give a frick what he ran in the 40. The dude plays offense and defense and was all-state in football, baseball, and T&F as a JR in a talent rich state. The dude can ball. He'll find a way to help the team.

Typo. I meant baseball, not basketball.

I got it wrong, but not by much. This is what I was remembering:

quote:
“I’m going to respectfully say that A&M has never seen an athlete like DeShawn Capers-Smith. He’s a freak of an athlete. He was a unanimous all-district selection at four different positions--two on offense and two on defense. That’s coming out of a district that had 45 division one college signees in one year. His film doesn’t do the justice of what type of athlete he really is. He’s an all-district baseball player, all metro track runner and all-state football player. He’s just an all-around tremendous athlete. He mainly played receiver and cornerback for us but we moved him to quarterback in the playoffs. In three games he accounted for 19 touchdowns and over 1,700 yards in three games.”

You got it way wrong. And being all-district baseball in that particular district is pretty meaningless.

Whatever.
Dude is a baller.

I think his point was that he is a good athlete. Point proven, no matter how great the district is in baseball.
Do we have confirmation that he ran a 4.97? For someone that is good in track, that is hard to believe. Maybe he had a bad start or something.

He ran a 5.01 last year
LSU has offensive linemen faster than him

I think Jarvis Landry proved plenty well that you can be effective in the SEC with 4.8-4.9 speed
