LSU can sell him on being the "Tall deep threat" they are missing to complete an otherwise pretty great offense, in contrast we can show him film of Mike Evans this year and actually SHOW him how we will use him.

I really hope we get this kid but I could very easily see him at LSU. There are benefits to being in the top 10 for a over a decade...

Did he commit to LSU to get his buddy an offer?

No, but I thought he was under the impression that his friend would get an offer after they both were at camp and a 7 on 7. His friend didn't get one, and he later decommitted and committed to A&M at one of their events. Correct?

Garner committed then Parker two weeks later.

What does that have to do with Parker being elite?

Nothing major, something to do with his ankle.

Miles should sell the fact that LSU puts receivers in the league and A&M/Sumlin doesn't.

You think that pitch would be effective?

Last receiver Sumlin put in the league was the last time he coached at A&M (Bethel Johnson - 2nd round 2002).

Also, A&M has as many starting WR and TE (1) as LSU does (Brandon LeFell - LSU, Martellus Bennett - A&M)

Dwayne Bowe is a top 10-15 receiver in the league, Early Doucet starts for sure in 3 receiver sets.

My main point is that even with LSU's offensive troubles lately we still put a lot of receivers in the NFL. RSJ will have no problems getting to the league no matter which team he chooses.

We'll see. I don't think Ricky will have much to analyze regarding LSU's offense next weekend. That bodes well for us.

If the kid wants to win, No question where he will go.. SEC champs and National Champs, not something the aggies know much about..

you guys do realize spouting off doesn't actually matter right? Kid is going to do what the kid is going to do and all the internet badass talk isn't going to change it. Both schools have a lot to offer. He will pick one of them. Probably next week. Anyway, I thought the recruiting board was for recruiting info

In other business, what's the word on Justin Manning? You guys back off due to lack of space? I haven't heard about another commit so it seems like an odd day to tell a top 100 DT no thanks.

Didn't Lacouture live in CS and commit to A&M, then committed to Nebraksa and moved his family up there?

Hope he sticks for you guys but who is playing games?

Manning hasn't committed to anyone, he is just taking his time.

The Tigers will certainly bring up the fact that LSU has a top 5 basketball recruiting class. I think RSJ wants to play both sports. LSU will be elite in football and are looking like getting there in basketball.

The Tigers have a lot to offer. If RSJ picks aTm, I wouldn't be surprised, but you can't act like LSU is out of it at this point.

TS will be rockin this weekend, and Im sure Johnny Jones from basketball will be talking to him this weekend. Miles has been great about letting players play multiple sports. LSU has been doing it for some time now. If he wants to try his hand at both, he will be able to.

I'm not sure he meant that exactly. Manning is taking it slow and they are probably in 3rd place so even if they get him to commit, he has family reasons that may make that less than solid all the way to signing day. And given where they sit with a few guys and how tight their numbers are, it would probably mean turning down an elite kid less likely to flip. We basically did the same thing with Benenoch (as we're in the same boat really). You have to pick your battles.

Btw, I think Lacouture is a nice player but has major major helicopter parents. They've now moved him from CT (where they are from) to Midland (bc they saw FNL...no shite) to CS (when he committed to A&M) to Lincoln (when he committed to Neb) in the last 3 years. I think of him a lot like LSU fans seem to think about Ellis. Hopefully they both work out

LSU pretty much officially off of Manning... We told him to reschedule his official visit to another game. He didn't like that. From what people are saying he wasn't ever really interested and LSU has a filling class. I don't think its a big loss for LSU but just passing on the info.

Lacouture will be solid, not a star but you never get all stars. we need dts so he is a take as a no. 2 or no.3 dt in your class. his family has moved a lot but we are getting to the end of the road with that stuff.

Reported a week or so ago that he had on A&M receiving gloves. FWIW.

Ags = More pass opportunities

LSU = More blocking opportunities

hmmm... I wonder.
