re: Rumor - about J. Showers

For those that didn't see the Rant thread ... Showers officially to UTEP [link=(http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/college-sports/texas-aggies/20130226-report-former-texas-am-qb-jameill-showers-transfers-to-utep.ece)]LINK[/link] Really surprised he didn't end up at Baylor or Tech, I wonder if it...
can't get an ag tag because when I signed up I didn't know what the hell they were and the email my texags account is linked to isn't my neo account.
Ummm ... you have never needed to register with a neo account to get an Ag Tag ... I know this from experience because my neo accou...
9. Griffin needs to get his grades up.
I will 9.5 just because we have known about Griffin for months and we are still stacked at WR in this class. But having him sign would have been the icing on the cake....
tmc94 thanks for clarifying. I read "red shirted last year" and immediately thought 2011. I didn't realize he didn't play this year thus why I mentioned that he punted in the Idaho game (which we played in 2011)...
ags, since you are recruiting both. who has the most potential. nick harvey or speedy noil
I don't think that there is a real answer since we are recruiting Harvey as a CB and Noil as a WR. They are both studs. Size and speed seems to be similar as are their rankings....
Kaser redshirted last season. He's a RS-Sophomore, just like Bertolet.
Are you certain? He punted in the Idaho game according to Aggie Athletics and he is classified as a Sophomore not a Freshman (like Bertolet is)...
Nothing, but he is 2 years into his eligibility. This will give us the ability to 1) introduce competition without using a scholly 2) hedge against injury 3) prep a new punter for 2 years down the road when Kaser is gone so we aren't breaking in a fish. As long as there is no scholarship being us...
Also, Inside Texas put out a story a couple of weeks ago saying we had a big lead for Paris, but I think they're totally full of shite, since Gerry and the 24/7 guys have pretty much said he's LSU's to lose.
:rotflmao: :rotflmao: Yeah I would agree ... they are totally full of shite....
I think we get Adams, but after that I have no idea. You'd think DB would be the one position that we could actually recruit well in, given Akina's pedigree. But I'm pretty pessimistic at this point.
I am leaning OU on that one but you never know....
So out of the top ten players in the state. A&M got more or less than years past?
I think we probably got one or two more "Top 10" than we normally do (especially if you are considering Derrick Griffin who would have signed with us if we thought he could qualify). The big thing ...
More than one guy named Trevon Young? Braden FL?...

Ok ... who is Johnson that you guys are mentioning? I haven't heard the name mentioned from anyone. Also, I am hearing the same as tmc94 as far as numbers, I was under the impression that was why we weren't taking a commit from Freeman right now. The dude is plenty talented....
You won't see many of our kids that have "offers" from Texas because they are notorious for only offering if they know you will commit. But the best player in the state (Ricky Seals-Jones) was originally committed to Texas and signed with A&M. Same with the best rush DE in the state Daeshon Hall....
We need to tell kids if you visit Oregon in January you no longer have a scholarhsip offer at A&M.
No doubt ... the weirdest fricking thing is it is like they are all struck mute when they get back. Last year Bralon is all over twitter and giving interviews, etc. Goes to Oregon...
Griffin's twitter is confusing to read. First he stated he was going JUCO, then he said he would not be going JUCO :banghead:  :banghead: Either way, he seems to be very excited about A&M and working to get in. He also just said he will be on the news tonight at 5:00 wonder what...
