When it dawns on these kids on NSD where they actually see themselves and all the visits wear off they will wake up and realize the south is where they wanna be. Ucla is a joke

Not hard to subsidize these type of trips man. Also, I am sure if it is happening, UCLA isn't the first or biggest offender
Also, I am not arguing that UCLA has a case to be made. I have made it clear I think UCLA is a real threat. All I am saying is that this trip has been in the works before Mora visited, I also believe that if he is going to end up at UCLA, that decision is already kind of there before he makes this trip anyways. I don't believe that "Auburn or Alabama had a big lead and UCLA swept him off his feet that last weekend" storyline

UCLA's D is no joke under Mora and they pulled one of Bama's best LB recruits this year

While UCLA may be a legit threat...I predict Evans will play in the state of Alabama.

Seriously? The kid won't pay a dime for college. If parents saved some money for college when he was young, they EASILY have enough money to spend for unofficial visits. I paid for college visits for three people to Auburn, Notre Dame/Northwestern, and Duke/North Carolina.
A few grand is small potatoes when you look at how much they are saving in college costs over four years.

Agree. It's your 3-4 year destination. Simliar but I got an NROTC scholarship so I drove from NY to PSU/USCe/UF/AU and back knowing I wouldnt have to pay later on.

That 56th total defense in the PAC-12 is sooo threatening.
And as far as recruits go, it isn't always all talent. It's the scheme and the coaching that makes them in the end. Anthony Barr is obviously good but no one goes to a school because of 1 previous player. Zach Whitley is solid but it's not like Raekwon mcmillian was committed to us and flipped

AU staffs confidence level is in the 90% range according to our 247 site. More worried about Bama than UCLA.

Sounds reasonable. From all I've read (mainly on here) it seems like most feel he ultimately plays in-state.
Someone posted that he is an AU legacy, which makes me think he's likely AU bound. Someone else posted that his dad said decision would come down to which place can best get him to NFL, which would make me think Bama based on their LBs the past few years.
Should be interesting to watch either way.

Let's hope he doesn't like hot chicks at the beach.

Whitley fits the 3-4 scheme better as a CJ Mosley clone and UCLA runs the same scheme

His Dad went to AU for about 3 semesters then transferred

His uncle played at bama

Just because Whitley is similar in size to Mosley and may be faster than Raekwon does not mean he is better. He may fit a 3-4 better as a will LB as well sure. But what made CJ Mosley a consensus all American was not his skill. It was his brains and putting himself in the position to make plays. Solid tackler, better mind.

His mom was a Tigerette.
Not really, I don't know shite about them.

And Whitley was a slimmer type LB that was a sound tackler and played inside because of it, racked up tackles by the bundles
watching film on both Whitley is better IMO
But I will just agree to disagree

His immediate family are all big Auburn fans. Whether that will determine his decision is to be seen.

Lucky said back in the summer that Whitley was one of Bama's top 3-4 targets period.
When you consider that at that time LF,Hump,CRob,Hand,Brown,ect.. were uncommitted, that says something
