If Evans doesn't go to Auburn, I would be shocked if he didn't choose UCLA. Seems to be how AU feels too

Saban and Smart will be at AHS today and at Evans' house tonight
So I guess this will count as Saban's final in-home visit?

I don't see how that is smart so far off from NSD with two visits left on the table for him

can't assistant coaches still visit, but the HC can't? I think that's the case.

Yes. But usually you send the Head Coach on the in home that you consider the most important which is usually considered your last one with that recruit. Gus won't go see him until probably the night before the dead period.

So, I understand the value of having the final visit. Would a coach using his in-home this far out indicate desperation, confidence, or a feeling that he's fighting an uphill battle and he'll use his time closer to NSD to see those he feels better about?

Also, does a coach waiting until last indicate that he feels he HAS to go last to close strong?

I truly don't know that answers to those questions, but my point is that it goes to show that people can spin whichever way they want. As someone without a dog in the fight, it seems to me that Saban is likely feeling it is an uphill battle, but I could be wrong.

Just found out that Rashaan Evans' little brother was the one that filmed Saban doing the electric slide.

His mama made him delete it.

@_AlexxEvans_ he probably wanted to ask you if you'd let him redo that electric slide vine????

Should have seen his tweets during the Iron Bowl, he was hating on Bama fans big time.

Gus is using his in home visit with the Evans family for Rashaan's grandfather's 80th birthday.

Depends on who it is I guess. I haven't followed Saban's usual tactics closely so I don't know how he goes about things. I just know most coaches wait as late as possible.

Don't think so. Just wants to make sure he gets the last word and gives him more control over the recruitment of that kid. In recruiting, anything can happen and you want to be able to counter anything that might happen.

Gus doesn't negatively recruit... DC handles that.

This apparently occurred today. It's pretty pathetic when most of the time you sit with a kid your just hating on the other team and not even selling yourself.

Then again, those tactics work with some (Kal Bessent) but they won't work with all. Hopefully they backfire this time.
