I already explained it. No use in trying to elucidate further.

So if you offer someone, they automatically become a priority? You offer many kids at the same position. Some are priorities and some aren't. Some remain priorities after committed to other schools because they are, wait for it, a priority. Jesus...

Offering a player BEFORE their junior season? Yes, absolutely. You're dancing around the fact he was an EARLY offer, not some 11th hour "oh shite maybe we'll get him" guy. He was among those first set of offers to go out for both of you guys.

And you only recruits kids who will give you the time of day, after Voorhies shut it down he did just that - he wasn't visiting anywhere nor taking calls. Kind of hard to make a kid a priority if he wont give you the time of day.

You can't officially offer someone before their junior year. He tried to get put on the big visit list so he could recruit Breeland for LSU but we said no thanks. By all means continue.

Was this before or after we told Breeland that we didn't want him by not returning his phone calls?

Well no school can "officially offer" someone until right up before they start their senior year, officials offer sjust all went out for 2016 kids.

OBVIOUSLY schools verbally offer many kids before this happens though. Not sure what's your point.

Keep justifying that we are upset we don't have Voorhies while he continues to wreak havoc on special teams

Hope he turns out to do well for his sake, I just don't think many people besides homers see it happening

that's just silly! Look at a map that state next to Mississippi on the left shaped like a boot "Louisiana" that's the state you thinking about!

You know he was a true freshman last year, right?

If Robert Nkemdiche is given 2+ years the benefit of the doubt before he actually produces, you can give Voorhies a year or two as well, huh?

Yeah you think he'd google it before making a bold statement like that. Louisiana has led for a while now.

What I said to the poster saying MS has no talent
quote:

MS also produces more NFL players per capita than just about any other state, just not a large population

What you quoted me as saying

Ms produces more NFL talent per capita than any other St.

misquoting people to call them silly makes you look silly

Not sure why Voorhies not being a priority is so insulting. Anyways, glad to see the kid finally accepted his future at LB. He was not receptive to the Ole Miss pitch about him playing stinger.

I think we had a misunderstanding. I was hearing all this "we get every single player we want from Mississippi" stuff. And I was just challenging the notion of that being a significant advantage. Like if LSU got EVERY player they wanted from Louisiana they'd have the number 1 class every year. But ole miss' and MSU historically are average in recruiting. That notion was generally supported by a Mississippi poster saying that the quality of Mississippi recruits is high, just not the quantity.

And I was just responding to your claim that
quote:

Mississippi rarely produces significant talent

But I also added the fact that you guys have got a few players from MS that hadn't been named. I also acknowledged that Bama has got a few. Hell, I've made a better argument for your side than any of you have so far

And another one missing the point entirely. He wasn't a priority AFTER he committed to us and wasn't even taking calls from other folks. You don't offer a kid before their junior season and pretend you never wanted him.

I get it...

I disagree with saying MS rarely produces significant talent. MS has a pretty decent amount of talent compared to most states (TN,AR,AL), and especially after you take into account population

Anyway, I get what you are saying, I just happen to disagree. Agree to disagree
