And we're gonna keep on doing it, despite all the tears that will be coming from the states to either side of us. You know why? Because the NCAA is a limp-dick worthless organization that won't do a thing about it, so you can either start to deal with it or stop being a massive pussy and shut the frick up.

Not really... What I said is true.

Ole Miss isn't in the same realm with teams like Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, etc... Historically or currently.

Ole Miss has never been a major factor in the SEC. Recruiting or on the field.

big name schools with national prominence.

The tradeoff is that such schools typically have little room on the depth chart to make an immediate impact.

There are a ton of factors.
Better coach.
Better facilities.
Better town.
Better academics.
Better football program currently.
Better football program historically.
Better stadium.
Bigger crowds.
More national TV time.
Bigger opportunity to turn into an NFL prospect.
Bigger opportunity to win a championship, experience a BCS Bowl, or at the very least - win 10 games.

Fans are funny about this rationale.

18-year old kids sometimes give zero fricks about all of this stuff.

Nothing is this black and white when it comes to recruiting- every player is different.

It does seem sketchy. OM fans apparently don't see it that way, but I think pretty much everyone else thinks it's a little suspect. Orgeron is a great recruiter and he didn't come close to this kind of recruiting success.

No, because you know your place in the football world. Which is why you should be surprised you frickwads are landing big time recruits - and not just that - but "stealing them" from big name schools with national prominence.

God you are an arrogant asshat.

HOW DARE OLE PI$$ TRY TO KEEP A TOP KID INSTATE WHEN THE MIGHTY BAMA WANTS HIM. ROLL MUTHAfrickIN TIDE!

Do you believe they went to Alabama for free then?

They'd be much more likely to attend Alabama for free than they would Ole Miss - based on the indisputable factors listed above.

What's the difference between these options? Your rhetoric lost a little bite by being completely nonsensical

Your delusion is just precious. Either Alabama is better at paying or both schools have good recruiters as head coaches. That's your premise not mine.

shite happens every year with Bama fans. Last in-state kid to jump ship towards them was Norwood, IIRC.

So how did Bert take Kirkland and Skipper from us then? Did the flagship just woo them with their record too? God damn you people are stupid

Not to mention the rumors of the NCAA being in Tuscaloosa right now...

WHOOPS, I didn't mean to say that!

What is delusional about anything I've stated?

The only delusion in this thread are the posters trying to suggest that Ole Miss shares the same advantages as Alabama when trying to recruit a player and that it doesn't seem shady at all that Ole Miss would be "stealing" players from teams like Alabama and LSU.

There is no logical reason for high profile players to choose Ole Miss over Alabama or LSU other than immediate playing time.
