But, I've actually seen them play in person. Can you believe it? Other than Kelly, how do you know what you're getting? You know less about your other qb's than we do about ours.

If you calculate the players state leads for now, And this doesn't include Simmons or Knott, state finished somewhere between 16-25.

Who do you see them adding by signing day?

I won't say AJ or Simmons are leaning one way or another so let's split the difference say each get one player.

Then your recruiting ranks could be in that 30 range but with a Raekwon, Gooden, and the south panola guy all going Juco, those numbers would be smoke and mirrors.
Yeah it looks like you signed them but they go to Juco and have to be re recruited in a couple of years.

I mean maybe it will work out not trying to rain on the parade per say. Just the number leading up to signing day might plummet after signing day because the Juco kids points will disappear when they go Juco.

I also said "if" they get the ones they lead for now. And I excluded knott and Simmons. I don't believe they get Knott at all. After this week, I'm more confident that State gets Simmons.

Our rivals guys seem to think yall are in it more than us on Knott which surprised me. Found out this past weekend that my mother lives in his neighborhood and has known him and his mom for years . Said his dad lives in Alabama and isnt very involved in their lives so I guess thats why the legacy aspect doesnt mean much. On Simmons, we are quite quite confident

State will finish ranked higher than people think. The only reason some state fans are flustered is because of what OM is doing and they arent stupid, they know that players like Gooden and Davis that bolstered their ranking wont qualify. They are still recruiting better than they ever have on a consistency level.

Rich coming from the school that counted Powe in at least 6 classes.

It is a false confidence.

Yeah because that is the kind of stuff you do when you know that your class is lacking. Before Freeze Ole Miss was in the same boat.

Nah, we'll finish in top 25, probably higher. The rest of our class will be made up of most of:

4* Jefferey Simmons
4* AJ Brown
4* Kobe Jones
4* Emmit Gooden
4* Rawkwon Davis
4* Stephan Sullivan
4* Jeremiah Moon
4* Scott Lashley
4* Jamal Couch
4* Nigel Knott
4* Willie Allen

Congrats on Couch; good luck on Lashley and Moon; so sorry about the rest.

Mark it down: This year is the beginning of the end for Sleepy Mullins giving the clangers any hope of being competitive.

I disagree with the OP. Judging from performance on the field seems like State is gradually builidng tougher teams: Mentally, phisically and talent wise.

It won't be easy replacing Dak, but Mullen seems to be doing a stong job.

I'd be pissed if DK Metcalf was saying anything about State or Starkville.

That's because most of your fanbase has a dying hatred for us whereas we respect the success both programs have shown the past couple years and can compliment it.

A&M is #17 and picked up a silent commit last night, which would put them around #12-14 nationally.
