re: The Joker Tape - Yes it is bad news
Posted by RebBearShark on 6/9/17 at 2:48 pm
To be honest I'm not 100% sure how the process works, but I would imagine that OM would be privileged to transcripts of the interviews. Seeing as how they were not allowed to cross examine the student athletes, they have be able to defend themselves against what they are being accused of. I really do not know, I am speculating (maybe hoping) the NCAA would at least give OM that decency. But, then again I could be completely wrong. Who knows? We'll find out if any of this means anything this fall when the hearing takes place.

On the other hand, you could say that the NCAA accepting a shaky (at best) testimony as fact during the "immunity interviews" that changed every time the story was told, would be a bad look. That could bring all out warfare regarding immunity interviews with even the tiniest shred of evidence against an institution.

It's not a defense. Simply stating facts. Not saying it makes it ok to do it. Just stating that it happens everywhere whether you want to believe it or not.

Not saying Ole Miss didn't cheat because obviously we did. Not saying Ole Miss doesn't deserve punishment for it. But, to sit there and act like Ole Miss is the only school in the country that does is completely ignorant. I suppose Alex Collins and Denver Kirkland left the beaches of Miami and went to Arkansas strictly for the love of Fayetteville and the school right? Don't be so naïve.

No doubt in my mind we will go 12-0 in 2017. WAOM

I'm not firmly defending Freeze by any means, because he is clearly at fault for a lot of this. With that said, if anyone should be fired, it should be Bjork and Vitter. Both were pussies throughout this whole investigation with their "exemplary cooperation" bullshite. We not only sat there waiting to get gutted, but we sharpened the knife by doing nothing! It just goes to show you, if you bend over, then you will get fricked. Bjork is great fundraiser. Bjork is not a great AD. Vice Pres of Intercollegiate Athletics my arse. GTFOH
One of the worst games I've watched
Posted by RebBearShark on 1/11/17 at 9:17 pm
18 first half points.
27.5% from the field.
11% from 3pt.
53.5% from FT.
4 assists for the game. FOUR
22 pt loss to a middle of the road UGA team AT HOME.
No more excuses for AK. I'm generally not an AK hater, but enough is enough. We are the same team every year. Won't box out. Can't defend the 3. No real offense. We pass the ball around the perimeter until we see someone open, and even then 50% of the time that person isn't actually open. Without a volume shooter that makes around 40% of his 3 pointers, AK teams will be essentially what we saw tonight. Garbage.

If anyone knows where to get 2 that are reasonably priced, preferably in the lower level, I would love to know.
TIA

The kid wanted to spend time to celebrate with his teammates one last time after he had just won the state championship. Not surprising that he didn't come to Oxford on a cold rainy day. Not saying he'a coming to Ole Miss, but to not look at the whole picture is foolish. Would be very surprised to not see Akers in Oxford within the next week.

I'm not referring to anything that Leo may or may not have said during an interview with the NCAA. I'm referring to something that happened during his recruitment that has been brought to light. Like I said, we'll see if it turns out to be true, but if it is, it is bad for MSU.
ETA - Not entirely sure on the whole NCAA immunity thing. As bad as they want to fvck OM, I would assume it's true. I have also heard that a couple programs instructed their players to NOT accept any immunity deal to prevent the opening of the Pandora's Box of SEC recruiting. All programs have dirt on all other programs.

Rosebowl has not predicted anything. He knew most everything that was coming that turned out to be true because he is an NCAA informant/source/whatever you want to call it, who is lobbying and fighting his tatooed meth-head criminal heart out to bring down that big, bad, cheatin machine in Oxford. Also, he may have fricked his own team in doing all of this by opening some doors he shouldn't have. I'm hearing some things regarding Leo Lewis that will not bode well for the bullies should it turn out to be true.

Pumped for Channing. He was always an athletic freak of nature and seemed like a good dude. He is a special teams coach's wet dream. Pray for those returning kickoffs against the Bucs.

I'd like to give an honorary shoutout to the drunk girl behind Molly in the 2nd picture. She's doing us all a service, and for that I say thank you to her.

You do understand this a preseason list, which basically is equivalent to the preseason AP poll right? Meaning it's useless.

Serious question... Do you understand the concept of past, present, and future?

In regards to our baseball class. Rolison, Kessinger, Dillard and the surprise of them all Johnson are all gonna be in red and blue next year. This is easily Bianco's best class ever. Next year we might take some lumps at the beginning of the season but towards the end we should be pretty damn good. In 2018.....watch out, something special could happen.
PS. Fire Bianco, right?

Good analysis. If Kessinger makes it to campus, he will almost certainly be the starting SS from day one. That dude is slick with the leather.
