Mason Smith recruiting specialist at Mississippi Stae goes to LSU

This could change a few things. Mason did a good job at State bringing in several nice recruits over the past couple years.
Some might say, why go now? Isn't LSU in a lot of hot water? Maybe but I have not seen it happen and even if it did, recruiting specialist are mostly retained even when/if coaching staffs change. Those guys are key in keeping the class together and maintaining the contacts for the new staff.

5 star safety Jacoby Matthews, who was thought to be nowhere close to committing (and most thought he'd end up out of state), popped for LSU the day after smith got hired.

That might explain why he was hired! So he can do that at LSU when they clean up the mess soon.

We weren't getting Shazz Preston in any case, I don't care what Paul, Rosebowl or others said. LSU takes care of their own.

Of course not, I even said he should go twice already.
Even after I said why he should go in my original post you had to pipe in a smartass remarks. That's trolling and I say keep that crap at the Rant.
Just be happy that LSU got a really nice recruiting specialist that had done some nice work for Miss State and he will help you guys get even better at recruiting. MSU had a chance at some guys you wanted in LA and it that chance just got even less likely with this hiring.

LSU is a better job. I assumed everyone knew that part.
The only thing I was saying that if someone were to question him going there now with current administration allegations, don't worry about it. The recruiting specialist position could get even more valuable if anything ever goes down, which I doubt.
How's this:

There was no way State was ever getting anyone LSU wanted anyway. That was all a pipe dream.

LA has a ton of talent this year. LSU won't take them all.
