Funny seeing the difference a week or two makes. During and after UA all the Tennessee fans were bitching and moaning about his ranking and now he's processed and he's no good. Recruiting fans are such hypocrites. The kid can play and in this league you don't drop a kid with his talent/skillset on the DL. If so then Butch is stupid or there is more to the story. This is an OL/DL league where they are at a premium so there is more to this than UT just dropped him for space. Cmon guys let's be real

Don't think the staff was expecting to land the best DE in America when he committed. The sub sites are saying Tn asked him to look around, who knows if it's true or not.
Could be grades, maybe the staff just rates him behind our other 3 DE prospects. Richmond, Kelly, and Pat Allen are high priority targets right now, and we are out of space.

Go read what the Tennessee mods are saying then. I like Ford and think he will be a good player. Just so happens that we are stacked at DE this class and most would agree that he was the worst of the four.
Personally, I would've rather cut the CB from Texas before Ford but maybe Butch didn't want to take 4 DE again this year.

Why did a gator start this thread? Were we supposed to melt? Obviously his offer was pulled, which sucks because I thought he was pretty good and we're probably never getting another kid from that HS, but it's recruiting and...

I wish we'd stick by our word. We need to not offer these guys so early if we are in it think on big name guys.

It's not, this is what the coaches are going to be spinning in negative recruiting next cycle. Also, if that school produces another D1 talent guy, that coach might not let tenn in the door. You couldn't blame the coach either, this is really late to pull an offer.

That being said, I fully expect UT to be a major player in the East this year with a legitimate chance to win it.
